Please move if it belongs somewhere else, I was guessing. :thumbsup2

I was going to get a couple lanyards for the boys. I am not sure if they need to pouch or not. I think I would like one with the pouch since I'll keep our KTTW and FPs, etc. Do they really "need" those or should I just get the lanyard (ebay) that's a perfect fit for the kid.

Just wanting some real life experience regarding these. The boys will have pins to trade on the lanyards also. Thanks!

Purchased through ebay. See this post for details. :) Post 17 of thread

If you mean the plastic pouches a little bigger than a credit card, I would get them. They can keep their KTTWs, FPs, id, etc.

My DD9 loves her pouch, although, we all have the cloth pouches, as opposed to the plastic pouches. She keeps her phone in it (which she uses as a camera and My Disney Experience app), stickers she gets from CMs, FPs, extra pin backings and KTTW. I also keep the same things in mine, except the stickers:rotfl2:

I love being hands-free in the parks!!

Yes, the cloth ones. I have a clear one on the lanyard from DL 6 yrs ago. I just wasn't sure since the kids are 4 & 7. Looks like I'll keep an eye on ebay. Thanks!

Some folks here were posting recently about things falling out of the plastic ones on rides and/or them tearing and falling off the lanyard. They strongly discouraged keeping anything valuable in the plastic pouches.

My kids (twin 6 yr olds) have the plastic ones that have a zipper closes. The only thing we keep in it is a business card of my husbands as a "just in case"

If it was me with your kids being younger I wouldn't keep something as important as a key in it.:scratchin

I agree with not keeping anything valuable in the plastic pouches. I've had several of them and they have all torn. I am changing to cloth pouches for our next trip.

We purchased our lanyards at DTD to be honest, but the pouch we went to wal-mart and got a pack of 25 where you can just slip your ticket/fast passes in. They are $5.99 at the park and you can get 25 and the little clips for about the same.

The last time I was there, some one asked me where I got my lil pouch and I tried to tell her it was better to go down the road to wal-mart and got an earful from her father/grandfather about how much money they had. :sad2:

I love lanyards with a pouch for the kids. Just a safety tip if you buy off of ebay and not from Disney. Not all the Ebay seller have Lanyards that are safe. Disney's have Velcro and if the lanyard gets caught on something it will open up and not hurt your child. I would check with the ebay seller to make sure the one you buy has a way to quick release if caught on something.

While I use my Castaway Club lanyard, the cloth pouch I use ( and love!!) was purchased at Millie's. It has served me well the past 4.5 years and I shows no sign of wear and tear. I plan on picking up a couple more when I go next month!

Where can I find the cloth pouches? Do they have a lot of different designs?

I have never seen them, but can't say I really looked. This will be my first year with no bag!! This sounds perfect :)

I was checking out the vera pouches and I was wondering if my iphone would fit in it? Also do you have to worry about the id coming our of the clear pouch? I've had a couple in the past that the cards in the clear pouch would fall out.

I bought the Fastpass lanyard earlier this week and it comes with a plastic pouch that doesn't close at the top. The pouch tore on day 2 and I'm very careful with it. It doesn't look very good with tape on it but it will have to do until I can get off property to buy something else. I looked at the resealable plastic pouches that Disney sells and the opening is so small. I carry our entire family's tickets, Fastpasses, my room key, and credit card and there was no way I could fit them in the opening. I don't know why they don't make them a bit bigger.

I don't think an iPhine would fit. But you don't have to worry about stuff falling out unless you forget to zip it. The access to the clear pouch is inside the zipper. (At least on mine...I've had for about a year and a half.)

This is what I ended up buying on ebay for $22.

Brand new still in original packaged.
Set of 4 Disney Mickey Lanyards with detachable coin purse/wallet.
Wallet/purse measure 5" x 3" with zipper opening. It's a idea for school, work, personal I.D.
The back side of the Wallet is transparent opening slot, for I.D or ticket holder.
Wallets/purses can be detached and used separately Lanyards are made out of heavy duty cloth strap and measure approximately 22" from top of lanyard to metal clasp. That mean 44" long. * Adult Size**.

Since they are adult size I might pull the 2 blue ones out and shorten them on the sewing machine for the boys by a couple inches. But we'll see how they work! For just over $5 each, I think they will work. :)

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions!

Oh that's neat. I wonder if anyone sells one that has a plastic window. I've seen wallets like that but I'd love a lanyard pouch so I can keep my KTTW in it as well as my other items and not have my big wallet in my bag.
