Lanyard and KTTW Holder

I do not think this would work. Mainly because the whole card passes through the machine when you enter the park, not just the magnetic strips. This also happens at the fast pass machine. I guess you could always ask when you check in and recieve your card.

BTW- have fun on your first trip!

Thanks, clandrum! Exactly what I needed to know :)

We did not have to show our KTTW card at each ride we had wrist bands they gave us when we checked in for EMH so no need for showing it at every ride

They no longer use the wristbands. You are required to show your resort ID. They have not used the bands for at least a year.

I bought two of the witz see it safe cases from rei two years ago. My DW and I loved them. No wallet or purse to lug around the parks. We either kept them around our necks or in a deep pocket if our shorts had one. We never had a problem and they have already been pulled out for our upcoming trip. I even remember seeing some Disney themed ones in the AKL gift shop for about $12 bucks. Anyway here's the link to them on the rei website.

I bought some off of ebay last year before we went and they were great. The lanyards were nice because you could keep your tickets right there when you needed to get fast passes or to get in the park. The ones I bought have the little change purse attached so they are very secure. They have a metal loop that attaches to a metal clasp. They are much more convenient than having to dig around in a bag.

Just a word of caution regarding the lanyands. I had purchased a disney themed lanyard at one of the gift shops and stored my kttk, credit cards, license and some cash. After getting off space mountain we were waiting in line at laugh floor and I noticed the plastic part at the bottom of the lanyard had become detached!! Had to cancel credit cards, renew kttk card, order new DVC card and I did manage to fly home without a license or passport...that was interesting!!

My man lost his KTTW card and all our Fastpasses for Splash Mountain when he lost his plastic piece when he was on Big Thunder! They couldn't find it, but within 10 minutes he got a new plastic card thing, a new KTTW card and a 4 person priority entrance onto any ride of our choice :thumbsup2

The Disney lanyards rock but those plastic things don't hold on very well. From that point I was holder of all cards and Fastpases - until mine broke too :rotfl:

Last year, I had a bracelet of spiral plastic (kinda like a phone cord). My KTTW and photopass card were in a plastic pouch attached to the bracelet along with the ECV keys. It went around my wrist when I went on rides, or I slipped it on my waist pack belt for the wilder rides. But the bracelet has gotten lost (I suspect the kittens). I haven't been able to find something like this anywhere and I don't remember where I got the original. Has anyone seen anything like this?
