day 5
today is the day we have been waiting for MAGIC KINGDOM. We have a 630 am wake up call and eat breakfast in the room. We get the bus early (we have to wait through 2... bus system is very slow and not that dependable, (another reason we will stay offsite next time) Seems that if you are at ASMO you are always last pick up most busses that pick up there are mostly full already. Standing in a packed bus with a wiggly two yr old is not fun.
We wait with a fairly manageable crowd at the gates and are thrilled with the opening "show" and the characters on the train.
We then get on the train and head around to Mickeys toontown.. wich unfortunatly does not open until 10am.. so I decide to brave Space Mountain.. and walk on! This is my first roller coaster ever.. and I am a fairly large woman... i was terrified! But the CM is great and when I ask if she thinks I will fit in she looks at me and says "ohh dont worry! I'll put you in front and youll be very comfortable..the FRONT. She was right and I was relieved.. and now confident about fitting into all the other rides.. this ride was crazy! I think my neck is still sore from it. .... I cant wait to go again!
We then tour toontown and see minnie, goofy, pooh, eyeore and her highness herself Cinderella..dd2 is amazed and SO cute in her Cinderella dress and ribbons.It was like mini-me! I was in tears at how sweet she was with the WONDERFUL CM! She kept saying over and over.. "cinderella said i was beee-ooot-ee-full!
DD2 and DD8 and I ride the barnstormer and then we get mickey ears for all. ($32.00) we then head to frontier land and country bears.. my dd8 has been exited to see this.. after the still wonderful show we grab burgers at pecos bills and a turkey leg too
By this time it is 130 and dd8 and I walk right onto splash mountain. dd2 is mortified that she is too little. Its all she talks about.. "im going on splash mountain next year!" After splash we head to fantasy land, but dd2 has fallen asleep and dd8 is 'to cool" to ride the dumbo ride and alladin' pooh is fastpassed to 430 and we are pooped.. so we get ice creams and wait for the parade. dd2 wakes just in time and LOVES the parade. It really is fun.
By this time we are all pretty tired and head back to ASMO. With the plan to return for fantasy in the sky. Back at the hotel we vote again and decide to go back to Garden Grill at EPCOT and then see Illuminations again. We do and the food is great. Illuminations is wonderful again. and my kids both sleep on the bus again!
