day 6
Today we decide that our kids are really running on empty and we ourselves need some sleep. So we forego a wake up call and IMHO live to regret it. This is our planned day for MGM and I think we could have accomplished a lot more than we did if we had been there at opening..also this commndo mom is reciveing some mutiny amoung the ranks... no one wants to follow my carefully researched plans.. so we kind of go wily-nily about the park.. ohhh well I tried
We head to MGM after waiting nearly an hour for a bus.. Im not sure what the problem was.. but busses for DTD MK and EPCOT were sent over and over for nealy non-existant lines.. while the line for MGM was stretching longer and longer. Today we have two major priorities. Playhouse Disney and who wants to be a millionaire... I am the only thrill seeker in our group and will have to save TOT and RRC for our honeymoon trip in sept.
We have a quick breakfast at Staring Rolls wich is wonderful. I have been craving a good bagel and a coffee... they dont have those in the small southern town I live in. ($20.00) And then head over to playhouse disney.. we see lilo and stitch (huge fans of these characters. dd2 is SO exited)and then get in the already long line for PHD. It is 1 1/2 hrs till the showtime! UGH. I get the girls huge suckers to keep them occupied and we wait and wait! I can feel our time slipping away from me ARRGH!
We see PHD and it is wonderful. DD2 is jumping around and spinning like a top when we leave. We then rush for our fastpass at who wants to be a millionaire. It is pretty fun however none of us gets the the hotseat.
By this time dd2 is ready for a break and takes a "stroller nap"
while we find a place for the parade. We get great seats in front f the TV station type building on the the steps and we get popcorn and a drink and then watch the wonderful parade.
by this time my kids are starving and my DH2b is GRRRRUMPY. So we head to 50's prime time cafe. I expect a long wait since we dont have a PS. but we are seated directly. and have a great lunch/dinner As we leave we plan to see muppets 3d but we see the mass migration toward fantasmic. So DH2B is panicing.. and we decide to skip anything else at this park and go wait for fantasmic. It is 600 and we have another 1 1/2 hour wait.. but I have light chasers and glow bracelets for the girls to play with.
Fantasmic is amazing.. sooo geat. DD2 is mezmerized and dd8 who is usually very timid enjoys it vey much. After the show we join the throng heading back to ASMO.
all in all a great day, but when i am back in sept I WILL see TOT and RRC. along with most of the rest of MGM
