Starting the hunt for snowpants- DD11's 10/12 from last year do not fit. So far we have only tried at Target, but as with a lot of places, their snowpants are sized 10/12 and 14/16- kind of a big range and she is more like a 12/14! 10/12 too tight and 14/16 way too long. The story of our pants shopping lives. She is not a stick, but not plus size either, just a little thicker than average.
Got a Lands End code today so I looked. Their Squall snowpants are $29.99 in limited colors. I am debating 12 regular, 14 regular, and 12 plus. Some of the reviews say they run big, making me think a regular could work and that a plus would be too big. But some say they are true to size, so who knows. They don't always state whether they are reviewing the slim, regular, or plus.
Checked the size chart and she is at the top limit of the regular 12 and the bottom limit of the plus 12. Size 14 regular looks good for weight but the height is 60-61 and she is 59". So it might work or they might drag.
So, do you have squall snow pants and in your opinion, when your kid is borderline, do you size up or down? Anybody have the plus size and do they run really plus or just a little?
