I was thinking about joining the Landry's select club. I have a few questions I was curious if anyone could answer.
1. Does the welcome reward expire? Our trip is the end of February, if I join now would I still be able to use it then?
2. Can you use the welcome reward and the birthday reward on the same meal or do they need to be separate meals?
Thanks.

2: You can use them together.

I think the welcome has something like a 12 month expiry.

From the FAQ:
Earned Rewards and Member Relations Rewards are valid for 12 months from the date awarded. Birthday Rewards are valid starting on the 1st day of your birthday month and expire on the 15th of the month following your birthday month if unused. Rewards will not be reinstated or extended.

The only thing to note about the Welcome and Birthday Reward is that while you can use both, there is no carry-over of any unused amount. So if your bill is only $40, you'll forfeit the remaining $10 of the Rewards.

If I go with one other person can the rewards be used on the bill or is it just on the person who has the card?

The Reward isn't limited to just paying for the card holder's meal, so as long as you're all on one check, you should be fine. Whenever I've gone with my family/friends, we've always had only one bill for the table and they've been fine with applying the Reward to the total check (I did have to pay).

I found it very worthwhile for our meal at Yak & Yeti last month.

For one thing, they seated us right away on a busy day. We used the welcome reward and my birthday gift on the same meal.

A manager came to our table when we squared up and thanked us for being members. Nice touch. :)

Thanks for all of the answers. I am going to sign up. It will be worth it just to get seated at Yak n Yeti. My boys eat a lot so spending $50 will be no problem at all!

Does it expire from the date of purchase or date of first use?

Does membership expire? I purchased a membership last November and haven't received any notification to renew. I didn't use until March of 2016.

I purchased a Landry's Membership when we ate at the Disneyland Rainforest Cafe on my birthday a few years ago. We had to pay for the membership first, before paying for the meal, in order to apply the welcome point bonus. We could not apply the birthday bonus to the first meal, however. I forget why, but it probably had something to do with the birthday points not registering for a few days.

So if you have earned less than 250 points and don't use them within a year, you lose them? You can't redeem until you have 250, right? I do not live anywhere near a Landry's restaurant. I signed up for it for our WDW trip in June and used the welcome reward and birthday reward at Yak and Yeti. We earned 70 points. I'm planning on eating at Bubba Gump's this June when we go to Gatlinburg and Yak and Yeti again next October. Will my points I earned this year be expired by those trips?

Correct. The Y&Y purchase points will expire the next June on whatever day you earned them so timing is key, there. It sounds like you may have the birthday reward available for Gump's if the reward starts in June or you eat there before it expires.

Thanks for the information. Actually, I have only 70 points and there are no plans for accumulating more between now and June. Guess I'll just have to count on using my birthday reward each year since I'll never accumulate 250 points in a year. Oh well.

Yeah, I live in the Land of Landry's and hardly ever use the card. I do try to use my yearly $25 gift, though!
