Landry's card for T-Rex and Yak & Yati question

I have reservation for T-Rex and Yak & Yati for my November trip.

I have reservation at T-Rex on my Departure day but my flight got delayed so now I'm thinking I might to go one of the park instead so I don't think I will be going to DS so thinking of cancelling my reservation at T-Rex.

Just in case my plan gets change again, if I get Landry's card, can I just do walk-in or do I need to make reservation at T-Rex?

And also, instead of getting the card in my name, I want it to be in my son's name who probably would get more benefit out of it. He is so busy at work, he hasn't had time to enroll. Can I enroll for him in his name and use my credit card to pay or does it have to be in his credit card?

Just walk up.
I was told not to even bother making reservations. Just use the card.
BFF was so impressed on us getting seating in less than 5 minutes with a 2 hour wait, she got a card for herself.

Landry Card holders get seated above all others, including those with an ADR so if you have one, you shouldn't bother with an ADR. It won't help you get seated at all.

Thank you. For sure I'll cancel T-Rex and might also cancel Yak and Yati since I don't know exactly what time I'll be at Animal Kingdom. Planning to park hop in the morning before going to AK so it's great not to be tied down to ADR at Yak and Yati.

According to the FAQs on the Landry's Select Club page, you can pay, but your son's account will not get any Landry points.

Not having an ADR makes me nervous, but we are going to try T-Rex in November just using the Landry's card because we don't really know what time we will be getting to Disney Springs and wanting lunch.

I think you are asking about enrolling for the card not paying the bill - correct? If that is the case then yes you can enroll your son for a Landry card and pay the fee with your credit card. I enrolled my husband as his birthday month is the month we travel and used credit card in my name. No problem with that

My husband and I both have used "my" card and they have always credited. Loved it at yak and yeti and t-Rex less than 5 min wait.

I told him many time to look into it but he is "too busy"! I want to enroll early enough so that we get the card before we go in first week of November.

I hear you on that one! It took about 2 or 3 days to get something more than the generic welcome email. It took about 3 weeks to get the physical card. We are in Canada so not sure if that added time. So I would say definitely get ordering it!

Does this card even around the holidays for no waits? We would like to eat at TRex on Thanksgiving but can't get a reservation. Would this work?

I think he is finally doing it because I told him it took you 3 weeks to get the card! LOL! He is complaining that after WDW, there's no where in our hometown he wants to go so it's useless. I told him it doesn't matter because he get $25 back when he joins.

Which brings me to this question. How do you get $25 credit to use for the first time? Does it come in certificate or gift card with the membership card? How do we use it at T-Rex? Thank you

your 1st time, you hand them your card. easy peasy. then they come back to table & have your $25. credit off your bill. IF your 1st time is in your birthday window, you get $50 off your bill! well, your bill is easily larger than $25. they make $$$ off of you, with Bubba gump,T-rex & rainforest (2 of 'em) they are betting peple will use the great head of the line perk of the card & eat at THEIR restaurant than go someplace else. wish i had one years ago, when it was a 2 hour wait for rainforest!

no need for ADR ( but make on if you feel worrisome)

I have an ADR, but I might just get a card too.

Alice, you pay them $25 to join the club. They give it back to you the first time you use your card. It's a one-time thing.

Then every year, you get $25 to spend for your birthday. That $25 credit is good for your entire birthday month until the 15th day of the next month.

My son told me this morning he joined last night. FINALLY! LOL!

I guess I'll wait until his card comes before I cancel Yak and Yati ADR so we can walk in whenever we are free.

Can't wait to go in November!

Jumping on this month old thread -- the thread is mostly discussing T-Rex, but from what I can tell by what's been said, this perk works at Yak and Yeti, too, right? Just checking as there isn't availability at the dinner time I was hoping for on a date two weeks out for us.
