Hi guys... I am new to the site.... I was just wondering if anyone has done the Land & Sea mix for their honeymoon?

Well I haven't done it as a package but ... Last year I stayed 10 nights on site and then went on the 4 night Disney Cruise

Then for our honeymoon we're going on the 7-night Eastern and then coming back to Disney for 6 nights :)

BTW welcome to the DIS - congrats on your impending marriage and honeymoon :Pinkbounc

Try posting on the Cruise Line board too - I think I remember seeing a couple of people over there who did that package for their honeymoon.

DH and I got married on January 17, 2004 in Disney and then did the Land/Sea for our Honeymoon. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Logde for the Land portion and LOVED it!! We had never stayed there before...but it was wonderful! We stayed there for 4 nights and then did the 3 day cruise. The cruise was very fun as well! I would definitely recommend getting a room on the ship that has a verandah. Of course, at the end of the Honeymoon, we both wished we'd stayed a week in Disney and done the week long cruise :) If you have any specific questions about the Land/Sea package, let me know! And, Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Sally...I have a quick question for you...my DF and I are doing the land and sea package, but we added four days during the land part of the trip..so in reality we are doing 7 days on land and a 4 day cruise. We decided to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the land part and have a catogory 5 on the ship. Okay here is my question, did you find the buses from Animal Kingdom Lodge to the parks, downtown disney and so on to be a pain? It is our honeymoon and we have been to disney many times were we usually rent a car, with that being said I do not want to spend all my time on a bus. A second question for you is...Did you choose the option for disney to arrange your flights and pick up/drop off at the airport; did this go smoothly?

Thanks for your help...

DH and I didn't find the buses at Animal Kingdom to be a problem at all...we usually stay at Coronado when we visit Disney and we found the wait time for the buses to be about the same. As for the luggage option...we actually went down on the Wednesday before the Sunday that the Land/Sea package began, so we didn't use the luggage option. However, we met another couple on the cruise who did do the luggage option and they loved it! They said it was really easy and saved them a lot of time at the airport. The only experience that I had with the luggage was when we left our bags in our room at Animal Kingdom Lodge on the Thursday that the cruise began - it was wonderful! We left the bags packed and ready to go in our room at Animal Kingdom Lodge and by the time we got to the ship, our bags were already in our stateroom! It was great! I hope that helps and I hope that you have a wonderful time on your honeymoon!!!
