Hi. I would like to find out how most people get to the Port. Do you use the disney transfer or towncar? Which one gets there quicker and Which one is cheaper.:moped: One more thing, we are driving to WDW. Do you keep your car at the resort?

We are taking DCL transfer from MCO-WDW, WDW-PC and PC-MCO. After researching all of the options, using DCL transfers came out the cheapest. (In some cases it was really close.) The only problem with DCL transfers is that you arrive at the ship so late.

Why don't you just drive your car to PC? It will cost you less to park at PC then it will to take any type of transfer.

I have another question myself regarding the transfers? I didn't realize that you could use them from MCO to the resort and back. It's not Mears right? Is it an actual Disney Bus? I am taking a towncar from MCO to the resort and from the resort to the port. I plan on using DCL transfers back to the resort since we're going back for 3 more days but can I use them to get back to MCO after that or not? The only other option for me is to book Mears or the towncar otherwise. Thanks once again everyone for the expert advice!

Thanks for the reply!
Well my DH says he doesn't want to drive at all once we are there. So I am left with the job of finding other transportation for us. I think I can cancel the transfers though up until payoff day. Do you happen to know how much it costs to park at the port? It would be nice to be able to get there early that's for sure.

All of the "Disney Cruise Lines" buses you see operating off Disney property are operated by Mears. If you come to a stoplight next to one, you can read the fine print on the side of the bus.

I'm not sure how you book them, though. I'm sure someone else will be able to answer that part of the question.

It costs $10/day to park a car at Port Canaveral. Themost economical option we've found is to do 2 one-way car rentals. One from MCO to Cocoa Beach pre-cruise and another from Cocoa Beach to MCO post-cruise.
