DOCTOR Gayle! Thanks so much for posting your report, I really enjoyed it. My first DCL experience was a solo four day and it was HEAVEN. I now have Castaway Cay pictures as my home and work screen savers...it helps keep me sane!

Dr. Gayle....great TR....great photos. Like you, I too travel when I deserve something for finishing school....we went on the Explorer of the Seas. Although a good time, can't wait for Jan 2008 to go on the Magic. It's a shame you aren't on the Eastern trip....it seems the 2 of you would be a great asset to our group of Diser's.

Also, are you from RI? You look very familiar.

What a GREAT trip report!! I normally can't see pictures because of the security restrictions at work...but for some reason I could see all of yours!! Very cool!!!

Can I ask what Bonine is?? I'm guessing some sort of anti nausea pill?? I don't normally get motion sick...however the biggest boat and longest time I was on one...I was INCREDIBLY sick. It was on the crossing from Dover, England to Calais, France through the English Channel....which is extremely choppy. I know that's why...but since then I've been really really scared to cruise. I can take Dramamine, but it puts me right to sleep.

You are in luck! Bonine is an OTC non-drowsy form of Dramamine! I'd been on all kinds of boats in my life, but only got seasick when I took my first cruise. (It was brutal! Sounds like you had the same!) I ended up in the medical station and had 2 double injections of compezine!

Last time I started taking Bonine the day before the cruise and then once or twice each day during the cruise and was not sick at all! I highly recommend it!

I took a solo 4 day cruise on the Wonder to celebrate my brand new MBA. It was a great treat and very relaxing. My stateroom attendant gave me a set of the Mickey graduation/mortar board ears to help me celebrate!
