Land/Sea Question- What Resorts?

We are anticipating doing the Land/Sea Package next April or May and I'm wondering what Resorts they put you in for certain Categories on the ship? We are a family of 5 so we are wanting 2 staterooms, probably a 6 and 10 across from each other. But we don't want to get separated as far as resorts at Disney.

interesting question. a cat 6 entitles you to to different wdw resorts than a cat 10. you can consult the website. www.disney.com or your ta. you should also try booking ala carte, that is, land and sea separately. then you can pick any resort you want.

we are also a family of five but we prefer to stay together so we get a cat 4 and we stay at the poly. we like the casual atmosphere and the proximity to the monorail.

Category 1,2 or 3 gets you the Grand Floridian.

Category 4-7 will get you the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Polynesian, or Swan/Dolphin resorts.

Category 8-12 will get you Port Orleans Riverside, French Quarter, or Caribbean Beach.

If you book across categories you have 2 options--you can pay to upgrade to the higher resort category, or you can just downgrade the resort for the higher category (with no discount on the pricing) so that you are all in the same resort.
