I was wondering how it works with the Land and Sea package in regards to checking in on the Wonder? Do we receive another card? etc...

Another question I have for all those who have gone on the Land & Sea package.....If you wish to arrive one day ahead..is it best to stay at the resort or should we find an off-site hotel...we are hoping that if we stay at the resort they will allow us to remain in the same room?

Thanks
VIvian

I would like to know this also. We have booked land/sea for 12/5/04 and I would like to come in the day prior.

When you book the land and sea package, there is only one check-in so only one key per person.

 When we booked our first land and sea in 2001 the ground trans was :boat: was included. When we reached the termanel at Orlando ther were crew members holding up signs and they took us to the buses. I think that the land portion is always first. They board the buses by what hotel you are staying at.:earsboy: When we do the land and sea in August of 2004 we will be doing this again. :sunny: Hope this helps. I agree you only have one key. When you get to the boat since you have your key already you go right on board. :wizard:

Thank You wltdsnyfan, I was wondering if we had to re-register at the Port prior to boarding the cruise. From what I am reading the response is no....:):)

Thanks again,
Vivian

It is was no problem for us to arrive a few days early and stay in the same room. If you do this through DCL they include length
of stay tickets for the park. If you don't need these or if you can have a code and can get a room only cheeper just ask when you make the reservation that they link it to your land and sea package. When we did this last time we stayed an extra day at the Poly and it was no problem.

Hi everyone
I have a simple question.

If have booked the land/sea package. If we don't have DCL do our air (we do it ourselves) and we still purchase transporation. Does the DCL still pick us up at the airport?

Yes, if you have purchased the transportation from DCL, they should pick you up at the airport, take you to the resort, pick you up at the resort and take you to the ship and after the cruise take you from the ship to the airport.

If you have 3 people or more you might want to hire a limo the rates are about the same and go on your schedule. We did that last time. We got upgraded to a streach limo, you should have seen DD's eyes! This year we are renting a car and driving ourselves.

Thanks wintermom for your reply. Its only the 2 of us and so we will be doing the DCL transportation. Normally when we go to WDW we do the towncar service, but with this stay we are doing the DCL transporation. Thanks for your suggestion:).

If you come in the day before, there will be no one waiting at the airport for you. When we came in the day before we were told to head to the Mears Shuttle and they took us to the resort. It was not a big deal, it was just that we had to wait until the Mears bus filled...... We were also able to stay in the same room but we booked everything through Disney. If I had to do it again I would do everything on my own... it was very expensive to add one day through them....

Vivig.............BE SURE YOU ARE STAYING IN A WDW RESORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Swan and Dolphin for example are NOT WDW resorts........thus no KTTW card!!!! That means you MUST re-check-in on the ship!!!! We found out THE HARD WAY!! If you like that courtesy Swan and Dolphin are not an "upgrade"!!

we are doing land and sea next month!!!

So if there is only 1kttw card /person...then if we put $$$ on it at WDW does the $$$ roll over to the ship???

Does what I wrote make sense-if not I'll repost...let me know!

Unless things have changed since we did the land/sea last January, you don't put money on the KTTW card. On top of being your room key, it's like a credit card that you can use at the resort and theme parks - everything you use it for shows up on your resort bill when you check out. You settle that bill when you leave the resort. When you get to the ship, same thing - use the KTTW card like a charge card when you need to purchase something. You'll also get a bill at the end of the cruise for everything you put on the KTTW card, and you settle up with them via cash, credit card, or whatever. Was this what you were asking, or did I misinterpret?
