Land/Sea pckg tranfers AK

I was wondering if anyone who has done the Land/Sea package has done the transfer from Animal Kingdom. I read that you can get the character breakfast and spend the morning at the park? Do you have to make PS at the character breakfast? Do you still have park hopper left to get into Animal Kindgom that morning?

I'm not sure if you have to make a PS for breakfast. When you get to the park they will give you the option of breakfast or going to the Lion King show and we chose the Lion King.

Yes, your park admission tickets will be valid on that day.

That is the show my daughter wants to see, that's why we are going to go there. What time should we be there? Maybe we can eat breakfast at our hotel first.

We went to AK first thing in the morning on our last day, the luggage was picked up by 7 or 8 am. The bus picked us up at AK @ 12:30, and we went right to the ship. We choose to see the show, great time.

No, it isn't free. I can't remember how much it was since we didn't do the breakfast. We just went to the park at opening and got fastpass for one of the shows.

We arrived at park opening. Our luggage was picked up from the hotel at 8 am and we left shortly after that. I think the park opened at 9.

We had time to ride the Safari ride before the Lion King show time. They give you a pass for the show so you don't have to wait in line.

Okay here is another question, just because I haven't been to WDW since I was a kid. Who do we tell when we get to AK that we are with the DCL? Is it at the front gate?

You have to have a reservation to pick up the bus at AK. They can do that for you at your resort and then you just check in at the DCL desk at AK. It is just after you go through the security check there.

Don't worry - it is SOOOOOoo easy! We did this on our last visit. They give you a number to call when you check in at the hotel. You then call and say that you want to be picked up at AK. You just leave your big luggage in your room.

There is a special office outside AK that is just for DCL passengers and they will hold your day bags for you while you enjoy AK. We love Donalds Breakfast-o-saurus and the DCL rep made the PS arrangements for us. We also ended up going to the first Flights of Wonder show where they gave us a fast pass for the safari (not to be missed). There is also a DCL rep at each resort (check for times) and they can answer any questions you might have.
