Land/Sea Check in Question

When you check into the hotel for your land/sea package do you turn in your cruise documents then? Is there a seperate line at the hotel to check in if you are doing the land/sea package? And last if you turn your cruise documents in at the hotel when you check in, how do they get them to the cruise ship before you cruise, I was just curious!

Hi:
We did the land and sea package in sept. We stayed at the
dolphin and loved it. Checked in normaly and then when't
to the cruise line desk for our park pass. We didn't turn
in our cruise doc. till we were on the bus heading for
the ship. Fill them out ahead of time it was a real pain
in the you know what to try and fill the out going down the
road.

We did the Land/Sea package in Sept. We were staying at the Beach Club. We checked in at the regular check-in desk and got our room key. Then we went to a desk just off the lobby that was marked DCL and gave them our doc's. I would guess they send the doc's to the port at some point in time. We did not have any problems. Well, one problem. The lady at the DCL desk in the hotel was very rude. She could not understand why we would dare to take a limo from the airport to the hotel and again from the hotel to the port. Gave us a tisk, tisk for not using the DCL bus. Kept telling us that we should have used the bus. Never mind that the limo was a birthday gift for DS. Everything else after that was wonderful! Have a great trip!

hi, we did the land/sea in June and stayed at POR. We did take the bus for our transportation. I would recommend it for at least the first time because there was a great video for 1st timers. However, I'd take the limo if offered! There are seperate buses for the cruise line from the airport. I thought we would have a seperate line when we got to the hotel. We all went into the same line unfortunately. It wasn't bad but there were alot of people checking in and out.

It was great to have just the one check in. When we got to the cruise we simply walked on through. We turned in our cruise documents on the bus on the way to the cruise. Also, I found it unusal that no one checked our birth certificates at any time.

One thing to beware of is that we did not want to charge on our cards at the hotel so we asked them to take it off. However, this is the same card that you will use on the ship. We didn't realize our mistake until we got on the bus to the ship. They did give us new cards at guest services.
