Land/Sea Adding on WDW Resort Dining

I booked a land/sea for this August two year ago before they had the new tickets and dining plan. I've called DC and WDW and they say they can't add it on unless I split the reservation and I don't want to do that because it will cost more. Has anyone else run into this problem?

The dinning plan is pretty expensive. Unless you plan on eating a lot and at the expensive restaurants its better if you "pay as you go".

we booked our cruise last May and tried to add the new dining plan and it was a no go also...........too bad, sounded like a deal but we'll book it with our trip for next year.

I am also doing the land/sea. I called to add on the meal plan and was told it is not available with this package!!

When I called and asked they said when they first started doing the cruises it was offered and not many were interested so they did away with the option....she didn't know if it would ever return.
