Lamplight Lounge & WoC question

Was thinking of a way I could watch WoC at Lamplight Lounge with my family on a weekday evening.

What I know so far:
- viewing angles are not great (i'm ok with this)
- WoC starts at 9pm weekdays, 10pm weekends
- Lamplight Lounge latest reservation I could make was 7:50pm on weekdays

I've read from some older posts that some people have managed to watch WoC from here but I haven't seen anything conclusive. So I'm trying to get some sort of clarification if its possible? Do I just make the latest reservation, and when I get there just ask the host if we can be seated on the deck or something? Will they let us stay there to watch it if we ask?

They should allow you to stay, however reservations are usually seated inside, walk ups are outside. And so you do realize, you will hear the music, you will see water shooting up, but you won't see projections or the way the water acts in the show.

I don't think you would enjoy it (or at least get the full effect) from that location.

In early March we did the WOC Dessert Party. The following evening we had 6:35 pm reservations at Lamplight Lounge. WOC was at 8 pm that night. We were on the bottom level of the restaurant and asked to be seated next to the railing, farthest away from the restaurant, if that makes sense. There's an outdoor, covered, circular area on the bottom level. You get a side view of WOC but definitely not a good view of the projections. However, you do see a much better view of the water shooting up, and the lasers, than the Dessert Party view. It was fun to experience WOC from different vantage points. When we were first seated, we took our time with the menu, starting with beverages. Then we decided on the food. Then we ordered the donuts for dessert, which we really enjoyed.

So, I booked my reservation for 7:55pm. WoC starts @ 9pm. Does Lamplight Lounge let you stay and watch the show after you're done eating or do we need to eat slow and take our time so that we can watch it from there? I don't want to break any rules I just want to make sure I know what to expect in case I need to make other arrangements to see WoC.

Just want to be super clear here. You will not be able to see the WoC show from LL seating. You will be able to see the side of some of the fountains used in the show, but you should not consider it a view of “the show”. You say you’ve heard the viewing angle is “not great”, but it’s not really a viewing angle of the actual show at all. I only mention it because in you seem to be interested in seeing WoC, and want to make sure you know you won’t be able to see it at LL.

we recently had a 8:30 reservation outside and could have stayed for the show but did not. What is it about this location, great location terrible terrible food. Just like before

Appreciate the response. It seems I may have misunderstood or misinterpreted other people's experiences with watching WoC from LL. I'll check out WoC super thread to get more information.

I've "watched" from there, and it is more of having it in the background while we hang with friends and chat. There is no real view, but it can be fun to just have it in the background.

For me, I thought about suggesting watching WoC from Lamplight and decided against it due to my party never having seen WoC. I think if you've seen it before and (like Malcon10t said) want it in the background while you hang and chat then "watching" from Lamplight would be great.
