laminate park tickets?

I purchased our familys 4 park 14 day flex ticket in advance. We will be there in April. I was wondering if the tickets can be laminated since they are so thin. We will be using them for about 11 days and I don't want them to get worn and torn. Will the parks take them if they are laminated?

they probably won't make it through the scanners. the tickets are made of tyvek, just like disney's. they'll make it 2 weeks easy.

Universal is actually in the process of changing their tickets to make them waterproof and to help them last longer. I believe they will be made with some plastic in them. This will be a HUGE help with people who want to save unused tickets. Supposedly, the writing won't wear out as easily as the current tickets do now.

yeah I heard this when I went to the parks on Feb 24th. I had an issue with my AP scanning at the express machines.. one of my APs would scan via the bar-code while the other had another type of bar-code on the back that would scan on the bottom. They stated soon they will all be the same type, not really sure which that is, but I believe it's the kind you scan thru the bottom of the express machines instead of swipe. All the machines are being switched too, as usually two of them work for swipe, two work for scan (according to Universal)
