Lake Eve resort

Hi Dennise,

I am from Nova Scotia as well. Halifax to be exact.

We stayed at Lake Eve this time last year. We did really enjoy it there.

I did a review quite awhile ago. Here is the link to it.

If you have any specific questions to ask please feel free to send me a PM as I don't spend a lot of time in this section of the board.

One drawback about Lake Eve is the amount of sunshine the pool gets. The resort is shaped like a U with the pool being in the centre. Since it is shaded on 3 sides by a 14 story building the pool area receives direct sunlight only when the sun is very high in the sky so if you are a so if you are wanting to lounge in the sunshine at your resort I would definitely steer you away from Lake Eve.

Another thing that is commonly complained about is the amount of parking. This wasn't an issue for us at the beginning of our visit but as we were nearing the end of our trip Easter was approaching and it started getting crowded so parking spaces ran out. I have read recently that during high occupancy times they valet park cars, in an overflow area.

Overall I was quite happy with our choice but like hightlight the drawbacks in case any of them are deal breakers for you.

Just an FYI they WILL price match. The best rate on their site for a 1 bedroom suite was $126 per night, expedia was $104 and they gave me a $5 cert to use in the restuarant when we get there.

We stayed back in Sept 09 in a three bedroom unit. We got a very good 'Grand Opening" rate. As others stated the pool gets very little sun and there is no theming or anything special about it, fine for us but others may want more. Everything was in great condition which it should be for being new. At the time we made our reservations they said there was no resort or cleaning fees and I even kept the email response from them. When we checked out they tried to charge us those fees but promptly removed them when I showed them the email.
There was a king bed in the main bedroom, 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom and one queen in the last bedroom. I also believe there was 4 tvs total in the unit. The unit was stocked like a typical timeshare unit.
