Lake City Hotels

Any advice...any suggestions?

We shudder when we think of Lake City and drive thru it as quickly as we can. Do NOT stay at the Ramada Limited! It was so dirty, one of the beds was missing a leg and being supported by a cut in half bucket, our friend's (who is a firefighter) smoke detector kept beeping in his room. Someone came to the room and fixed it by taking out the battery. It was our worst hotel stay ever.

Thanks for the advice...that is one of the hotels I was looking at online this morning. I'll be sure to avoid that one.
