We only had a few minor problems
1. They hadn't put alarm clocks in the room yet

didn't go to disney world, easy access to lots )

I meant to respond to this last week, but I could not remember my LOGIN!! I hope it's not too late for you...

As the above poster mentioned, this is a really new condo/resort, and we had the same small complaints regarding the alarm clocks and the windows not opening. There is no pool open yet and it seems like only the one building we stayed in was open. There are supposed to be about 15 buildings total when it's complete, with a pool between each two buildings, tennis courts, shops, a spa, and restaurants.

Having said that, I was very impressed with this resort. I kept telling my husband that the $139 a night we paid would probably go up once they are fully finished. We had a two bedroom, but I have to emphasize that the master is absolutely gorgeous! There is a huge jacuzzi tub that my 4.5 foot tall six year old (he's very big for his age :) ) sat straight up in with the water up to his neck and (and lots of bubbles courtesy of the jets ;) ). It has a double sink vanity area with a stand alone shower and the toilet in a locked alcove. Hubby didn't like the fact that the tub and shower were pretty much out in the open room since we have kids and you had to lock everyone out of the whole room for privacy. I didn't care 'cause that tub more than made up for that little detail!

As for the windows not opening and the lack of a pool, there was a hard freeze warning when we were there, and a low of 27 degrees! We were at Universal on the 12th with a high of, like 40, and VERY windy, so we weren't too concerned with the windows opening or going swimming-LOL. Also, the units have balconies with a small table and chairs.

The other little snags we found were things that they will probably be learning as they go- i.e.- no dishwasher detergent (as most other rental properties I have stayed at provide) , the wake-up call my husband asked for was 20 minutes late, there were no batteries in one of the remotes, and the TV's weren't set up to properly receive all of the cable channels (which I fixed since I am a tech junkie). There are no phone books or area guides in the units, which would have been a great help when we were searching for sonewhere to eat. I honestly think we were the first guests to stay in that particular unit. You could tell none of the appliances had been used yet and the user manuals for everything were still in their packages tucked neatly away.

The kitchens have granite countertops, the furniture and decor is beautiful, there is a washer and dryer in each unit. The TV in the LR was a big screen HDTV (which doesn't really mean anything if they don't have HD service, which they do not). The location os awesome as well- if you don't know where the LBV factory shops are, it's near that Super Walmart on 535 near Osceola Pkwy. Its a little removed from the crazy traffic on 535 north of I-4, but close enough to all the shops and restaurants. I also liked the interior hallways. I have stayed in quite a few rental homes and condos in the area and this one will probably be my preferred one as long as the prices stay under $200. I think they also have a 4/4 or 3/3 penthouse available and that was only $161 a night when I looked it up. It is different because although they will be owned by individual owners, they are being sold fully furnished by the developer, so you won't find the cheapest, bottom of the barrel decor and appliances that I have found in other rentals (not criticizing, because if I was constantly renting out my home to a bunch of strangers, I'd do the same thing :) ). I also liked the whole online reservations and front desk check-in, which you can't really get with a rental home (the front desk on property). I am a FL native and I've been going up there my whole life, so I have alot to compare it to.

After we got home, I did some research on the property. It is going to be one of those new "condo-resorts". They are "whole ownership" which means you can buy the condo and keep it for yourself all year or use their "rental program" where they keep like 35% of the rental fees and do all of the renting for you. They're pretty pricey, though- they start at 380K for the 2 bedrooms. Definitely not for us!

Sorry this got so long! I was just really happy with it and it seems like you only hear from people when they are UNHAPPY with something so I thought I'd pass on a good word.

Good luck with your trip plans!

Kelly
