Hi All!

We are currently booked in a garden view room at BC for 4/18-4/28. I have also given heavy consideration to YC and Poly, however, under our discount (40% military), our only options at YC and Poly are LV or CL rooms. I normally would not even consider paying for a view but since those are my only options, I am considering it.

Despite the obvious fact that you are overlooking different lagoons, what are some of the positives and negatives of LV at each? Is there any chance of getting an obscure view of the castle at LV POLY? :confused3

Oooooo Poly CL :cloud9: That is one of my all time favorites! But the YC is also great. As far as the LV goes I would give a slight edge to Poly LV because of the EWP. But with the GF construction going on your view might be less than great depending on which building you're in. I like the LV facing towards the CR because you can watch the monorail. The kids love that. :) YC LV has a nice view of the Boardwalk area, but to me it's not quite as special as the Poly. But both choices are winners really, you're talking about two of the best resorts on property! :goodvibes

Lagoon view at Poly will have an obstructed view of the castle. The rooms with a clear view are Theme Park views.

Between the two, Lagoon View at the Poly is significantly better than Lagoon View at YC. All you'll see at YC is the other resorts. At the Poly you can see all the activity on Seven Seas Lagoon and perhaps the MK as well.

I disagree. All you can see from the Poly is a view of the ferry unless you have a theme park view. My most favorite view is lagoon view from YC. You see the entire Boardwalk area. There are just as many boats to see and it's right in front of you. No distant views. Very serene and relaxing from your balcony at the YC.

Is the LV at YC where you can see the ToT behind the Boardwalk? :scratchin

Lagoon view Poly CL!!! We really loved the location of the longhouse and the offerings in the lounge. It's pure magic!

This was our view from the first floor room 1502.

Crap, I just replied before realizing that you were looking at a regular LV at the Poly. I am not sure if any of the other LV rooms can offer that view. Maybe someone else can help.

 :faint:

That view is beyond amazing! Wow. And yes, I did see that it's a CL room. :rolleyes1

I would be right back there in February if the renos to the Hawaii building would be complete! Alas, we will try something new and go to the WL CL.:cool1:

If a LV room had this view I believe it would be a TPV.

No question The Polynesian is definetly the one. :goodvibes
They don't even compare.

And I agree the CL only makes it more special. The lounge is the best. :goodvibes:goodvibes

We did a split stay with both CL. really enjoyed the WL but my heart belongs to the Polynesian. :goodvibes

We've stayed at both YC and Poly with LV (1st floor Tahiti longhouse at Poly) and 3rd floor at YC - both are great i think!! We have stayed regular LV at the Poly 3 times and even with a "regular" view, most times if you move to one end of your patio or balcony you can see the fireworks just fine....or you can always grab a chair on the beach and hear the music too. Our YC LV stay (most recent trip) was great as I could see the Illuminations fireworks as well - although I think your room location would make a huge difference on that (we were at the farthest end of the building - closest to the walkway to Boardwalk) but had a great view of fireworks each night. I also enjoyed "people watching" and seeing the boats coming / going. I say you can't go wrong either way!!

If that is the cast then I got ripped off two years ago when I paid TPV rates for essentially the same view.

Vote here for YC. I haven't stayed there yet, but I've had lagoon views at BC and BWI and just LOOK at the results!
