Ladies, I would love to know your skin care and make up routine! Currently, I am doing A LOT. I would love to cut some steps out/ not wear as much makeup.

Anyone care to share? Feel free to include the products you use, I'm interested and would love some recommendations! popcorn::

ok, bear with me here!

I have had acne foreeeeever. (anyone seen the movie the Sandlot? ya know that kid -for-eeeeeev-er) Anyways, it seems to not be terrible right now. I use Clean & Clear continuous control cleanser, with 10% benzoyl peroxide. This seems to work much better than any face washes with salycilic acid (for me at least). I use that in the shower. When I get out, I use the target brand of Persa-Gel 10 (more concentrated benzoyl peroxide acne treatment). I use a tiny bit where my breakouts are and let that dry for a couple minutes. This stuff works WONDERFULLY for my breakouts. It takes care of any in a day or two.

After that, I use Aveeno moistruizer. I LOVE this stuff. It is not greasy at all, has a sunscreen, and really seems to work well with my skin.

I let that soak in for a couple minutes and then I use Studio Gear Matte foundation from Ulta. http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod1400022

I put this one with a foundation brush. The sponges and such just absorb too much of the foundation, and the brush allows me to put it on with no streaks, blend well, and doesn't waste the foundation. This is the brush

I put two pumps of foundation on the back of my hand, dip the brush in a little, and dot it all over my face. Then I go around my face in circles rubbing it in. I keep repeating this until the foundation is all used. (My boyfriend calls this 'painting my face lol)

After that, I put on eyeshadow. I have a ton of different eyeshadoes. The ones I use the most are the Ulta brand.

Then I curl my eyelashes, and put on eyeliner (ulta brand). [I do NOT work for Ulta, I just love their products!]

Then I use a concealer under my eyes to cover the big dark circles. I use a Covergirl one, it has a blue top.

After all that, then I put on some Covergirl loose powder to set everything, apply mascara, and blush, and i'm good to go!

It sounds very time consuming, but it really isn't. From start to finish with the makeup takes me anywhere from 5-20 minutes depending on where I am going.

Also, I have found the best eye makeup remover to be vaseline. I put some on a tissue, rub it all over my eyes, wipe, and all my eye makeup comes right off. I found other eye makeup remover products to be too harsh to the skin around my eyes.

I hope that helps!

(I'm a bit of a makeup junkie if you couldn't tell!)

I use Philosophy cleanser (purity) and then Philosophy micro delivery exfoliating wash every day in the shower.

Then once I'm out of the shower, I use bliss all around eye cream and Clinique moisturizing gel.

Done! :)

Does the Persa-Gel make your skin dry?

I love the Aveeno moisturizer too!! :cloud9:

And thanks so much for the link to the foundation brush (I need one! How did you know? ;)) and for the vaseline tip! I will have to try it!

I'm a Philosophy girl too, but I wish it wasn't so expensive. It is fantastic though!

So, no makeup for your SaraJayne? I'm jealous! I wish I was brave enough to be makeup free! :worship:

No make up. :) I'm a SAHM and don't need to wear it, but even when going out, I don't wear it. Luckily, I have dark eyelashes, so I don't need mascara. :)

I have found that it makes it dry if I don't use a moisturizer. But since I use it everyday, I haven't had a problem. When you put it on it makes your skin feel kinda tight, and if you dont rub it in well it can leave white marks - kinda like dried toothpaste. But I just don't use too much, let it dry, then put the Aveeno on and I have no problems.

The foundation brush is awesome!! Its kind of expensive, but I have had it for a year now and it is still as great as when I first got it. I just use baby wipes to clean it once a week or so. I rub the brush around on the baby wipe and it cleans off wonderfully!

I'm a SAHM and put makeup on every day. Just part of my daily routine. I don't think I could stop even if I wanted to :rotfl:

I use Philosophy Purity made simple or Dove to wash my face and Oil of Olay lotion. for makeup I do cover up in the corners, powder to set, eyeliner and mascara, a little blush, concealer to cover any blemishes and then pressed powder to set my face. all in all takes about 5 minutes.

Would love to wake up and go, but I don't think I would feel like "me" without makeup :confused3 Have never left the house without it and don't think I would ever be able too. It's like a security blanket or something.

I wash my face in the shower with Dove for sensitive skin. I use some kind of a moisturizer (right now I have some Arebonne stuff) because I have dry skin. I use a mineral power foundation (I think it is Neutrogena). I put on some eyeliner, mascara and blush and off I go. Actually I put on my eyeliner first, then my mineral powder foundation. I find that helps the eyeliner stay better. In the summer when I have some color to my skin and I am not working, I only use eyeliner.

I am a SAHM right now, and I wear make-up every day too. My routine is pretty simple. I wash my face every morning in the shower with Dove soap, then I exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Then I use Neutrogena's Continuous Hydration moisturizer before doing my make-up. I use Shisheido's Hydro-Liquid compact - which I love, the coverage is light and flawless. A quick brushover of Clinique loose powder, then L'Oreal blush and eyeshadow. I use an eyelash curler, and Maybelline Great Lash mascara (I have tried many different mascaras, and I always go back to Maybelline - I love it). I use MAC lipstick, usually a shade darker than my natural lip color, unless I'm going out for the evening, then I'll wear some shade of red with a touch of gloss over it. I really like the products I use - it took a lot of trial and error to get me the look I like.

Empty nester here. I splurged and got permanent eyeliner. Next will be permanent lipliner and color and eyelash perm and tint. A cancer survivor told me about it and I'm sold on the entire process.:cool1:
