Or rather purse? My kids always used to be fascinated with the contents of my purse so that's what made me think of this.

I have to say it amazes me the amount of stuff some people carry in their purses?!
And then there are others who have such a teeny purse that I'm wondering how they even put their money in it!

I think I'm somewhere in between.
I have:
Prescription sunglasses
My wallet
A small brush
A small make-up bag with powder, lip gloss, blush
Some matches
some band-aids
hand sanitizer
a pen
sometimes I'll have reciepts or loose change but other than that my purse is pretty boring.

So let me be nosey and tell us what's in your purse? Anything juicy? Besides gum. :goodvibes

I used to carry a bigger purse, but I found that I would just find junk to put in it. So I downsized. Now I carry only what I need
-wallet
-cell phone
-prescription glasses w/ case
-sunglasses
-makeup bag
-calender (very slim)
-tic tacs
-keys
-excedrin migraine

There are a few odd floating things too -
-reciepts for parking at work
-two of sweetpea's girl scout patches
-DL passes
-hand made pen
-5 tickets to pancake breakfast this sat

I try to only have what I need in there and nothing more. If I could get away with less I would. I know some people who carry purses filled with stuff for "just in case". Ugh, I can't live like that. I have one cousin whos purse is filled with "just in case" things. Her reasoning.....you never know when you might take off for the weekend. Ummmm, yes I do.

When I go out (adult evening) or Im going somewhere I want to be hands free (like DLR for a couple of hours) I go with out my purse. And I just carry my MILK since thats all you really need. MILK stands for - money, id, lipstick, keys. Never leave home with out your MILK!

I don't have a purse. I have a black hole with a shoulder strap.

But inside of it ive got

-too many pens and pencils to count

-A little wallet thing
--mirror
--capstick
--key ring

-mints. mints. and more mints.

-glasses case

-calculator

-camera

and inside the zipper pocket
--paper
--random business cards
--pony tail holders
--some stuff so random its not worth going into
--more mints
--occasional stick of gum
--broken necklace

and then all the way through it I've got loose change and dollar bills.

Oh goodness, why did you have to ask me this question, believe it or not, I don't have a large purse, everything fits in just right and has to go in a certain order or else it won't fit.

- Wallet
-Ipod
- PSP
- 8 PSP movies (2 holder thingies)
- Checkbook
- Pen
- Some Candy (I have low sugar)
- Chapstick
- loose change
- Extra Hair Tie
- Cell phone
- Keys
- Tampon

Never leave home with out your MILK!
:rotfl: I love it!

I hate to carry a purse, so I more often than not carry my MILK in my pockets. When I'm trying to be grown-up and carry a purse, it's a tiny little one that doesn't hold much other than my MILK - that, and the ever-present smushed after dinner mint of indeterminate age from Olive Garden.

Now if you asked my mom you would get a list a mile long. But I only carry a small purse with essentials. Lets see:

-wallet
-chapstick
-mirror
-pocket tissues
-coin purse
-rescue inhaler
-travel hand lotion
-cell phone
-car keys

I'm going to have to remember MILK! :rotfl: Sounds like my kind of thing, only the necessities.

They actually sell the Charmin ones along with little travel size toilet tissues in the sample baskets at Target. I pick them up and carry some in the car for road trips (all those lovely rest areas, ya never know.)

We carry 2 rolls of toilet tissue in the van on our trips now though, just in case LOL We've gotten to so many rest areas and them not have toilet tissue....and so we learned to carry some.

I think I truly have the black hole of purses... My husband used to laugh at what I would carry. (I think I must have been a boy scout in another life.. :teeth: ) Right now I'm carrying a purse that Bath and Body Works sold that is a huge furry sack and very dark inside!

wallet (and all that goes with that...)
change purse
keys (which includes the bazillion grocery store cards and the padlock for the gym locker)
receipts
iPod (including earbuds and my carrying case for the gym)
make-up bag (small, but I can cram a lot in it)
wet-naps (no kids... my husband used to say I was like a grandma carrying those!)
mints
rolaids
sunglasses
notepad
pill box
tylenol
folding hairbrush
business card case
cell phone
nail clippers (used to have a nail kit, but managed to lose it...)

That's usually about it... and I wonder why my back hurts sometimes! :rotfl:

We did this game a church youth group around what was in your purse. That is when I realized I had a roll of tape and a package of grits in there along with all the normal stuff.

Well I just looked and can't believe what I found. There's the usual stuff like:
~wallet
~brush/hairbands
~chapstick
~keys
~sunglasses
~pens
~mints/gum
~hand lotion
~eyedrops
~Advil
~cell phone

I also found these things:
~about a million toothpicks (Dh always gets way to many at restaurants and thinks my purse is where you dump the rest)
~mouse toy-the cats must have been playing around my purse last night
~CareBear bandaid-never bought these so where did it come from?
~ketchup packets and salt/pepper packets-again, DH.
~a fork
And last and the MOST confusing:
~a wrench! What the crap?!? I don't use tools...

wallet
cell phone
keys
makeup bag
tissues
tampons
pen
hairbrush
the book I am currently reading (the kite runner)
motrin

Who else thinks it's hilarious that my mom keeps my sister's permit in her purse? She is TERRIFIED of her driving!

This post is really funny and timely, because just a few days ago, we had to take my sister to the dentist, and I suggested a game of "What's in your purse" because we were bored waiting for her. We got to laughing and probably really annoyed the other people waiting. They should be used to it by now...we usually get out the "book of gross teeth" to peruse through, and that gets us going as well.
Okay, on to the purse...

mini credit card with my maiden name on it
8 business cards
a post it note with my sisters-in-law's phone numbers
volunteer blood donor card
receipt for the piano my husband bought
cell phone (usually- not there now)
mini frys discount card
mini credit card and debit card
9 giftcards, mostly from Target, left over from wedding gifts
a little booklet with pictures of my husband
an index card listing all the amounts left on said gift cards
a useless post it note
some useless receipts
one of those circular metal things that come off key chains if they don't close all the way

Now onto the big pocket:
baggie with excedrin tablets (for when DH gets a headache)
blockbuster, movie gallery, and hollywood video cards
my marriage certificate
two newspaper wedding announcements
our scorecard from "what's in your purse" (!!!!!) how ironic! I won, by the way.
checkbook
cd of wedding pics (all this wedding stuff and it's been 4 months!)
blank cd
money that my dad gave me to go shopping with
chapstick from kennebunk dental
days inn pen, pen from hawaii honeymoon hotel room
burts bees chapstick
umm...this one takes some explaining...it looks a little inappropriate, but it's just a vicks nose sniffer thing to clear up your sinuses...
a tampon
my watch that gives me a rash
a plastic jewel that DH got from his cousin's wedding reception last year
and a paper clip!

and of course my wallet which has:
another mini frys discount card
the key to my college mailbox that I was supposed to give back in May of 05
my AZ license
my old ME license
my soc sec card (but you're not supposed to carry it, FYI)
insurance card
LDS temple recommend
a pic of DH and me
a paycheck
a check from my dad (for tuition and my plane ticket)
debit card, credit card, credit card with maiden name
regular sized frys discount card
another credit card, a gap card, an american eagle card, and a teaching fingerprint card, all with my old name!
a 20 dollar bill
and $1.18 in change!!
