I first got on Depo in 1993, was on it until 1995, missed a shot. Was off for 5 months,- became pregnant with DD7. (its a good thing!),,,,stayed off- 6 months later, pregnant with DD6. DD7 pregnancy gained 21 lbs, DD6 gained 19. No weight gain from 1993 till 1995. October 1997 (after DD6) went back on depo- was on it for 4 years. no weight gain. Oh I forgot ot mention. I also did not have my monthly cycle either. No decrease sex drive. 2001 Went off for no aparant reason. cycles returned to normal the following month. 2002 went back on- have been on since. I did have a small weight gain the past 6-8 months, HOWEVER I also had not gone to the gym in those times. I do NOT attribute this to the depo shot AT ALL.
Only problem is they wont shoot me in the arm. Doc says not enough "fat" there....would really hurt...so she shoots me in the ****...now that hurts!
Oh- and the sex round here is just fine....
