Do you find feminine product commercials insulting, embarrasing and stupid? Do they really think we go, wow that sounds so much fresher, better, more wingier. I gotta get that brand now?
And why, oh why do all the ladies wear white? I just want to know what planet they live on.

The Tampax commerical with the girl in white pants is so annoying.

As mentioned before, no female in her right mind would wear tight white pants during her period.

Secondly, she's too stupid to figure out NOT to put her tampon on the windowsill?

And then she uses up the hosts personal products to go "fishing" for her tampon?

I hate this one on so many levels. What audience are they aiming for with that drivel? I can bet dollars to donuts that a man thought up that whole ad campaign.

These commercials are so dumb! It makes me embarrassed to have a Marketing degree!

They ride horses on the beach, play volley ball & have dumb conversations.

Since this is a little related & its a girls only thread let me tell ya funny little story...

In High School we were getting ready to cheer @ a football game & it was Vicki's first day & she got her you know what!!! Well anyway, I let her borrow a tampon & she was too embarrassed to tell me she never used one before & she did something way wrong & inserted part of the applicator as well & long story short she was peeing cardboard for a week!

Personally, I think if I saw a commercial that showed Niagra Falls and then the voice over said, "We can't absorb all this, but we won't fail you on your worst days" I'd buy that pad/tampon.

I know where to buy these things and have no choice but to buy them, so I really don't need these commercials. It can be very uncomfortable watching TV with people you don't really know well when these commercials come on. All the women in these commercials seem really stupid, but then so do all the women whose lives revolve around getting every stain out of little Jimmy's shirt.

I have to agree with Goofygirl about the commercial of the kid spilling something & the mom just cleaning it up. I am the screaming maniac when my son spills something because he always seems to do it just after I've washed my floors!

I know this is going off topic, but I've got to disagree about the screaming mothers. Sure we all have our moments, but in general I think most moms accept that kids spill. GG - I'm sorry for you that your experience with moms has been that of screaming obscenities at their children.

As for the feminine hygiene commercials, I don't think they belong on tv. Explaining them to my kids is so much fun. My 10 year old was so grossed out when he wanted to know about for bladder control commercial aimed at an apparently young woman. I don't really have a problem with them in print in a magazine etc. that targets the audience that needs them.

While I may not be thrilled when my child spills something I CERTAINLY have NEVER called my child anything close to that!!


Kids are human, humans make mistakes.
So are moms.

I would never swear at my child especially for something as stupid as that!

I agree, some of those "feminine" commercials are embarrassing...especially the ones where they show a pad, and pour blue liquid onto it! Geesh! Too much!

That tampon commerical with the window sill is so ridiculous, even my 13 yo DS and I were talking about it the other night! LOL! He was like, Who would put their tampon on the window sill? We also wondered, how did she not know that everyone in that room wasn't standing there at the window watching that "rope" come down?!? I would've at least thought about that!

The commerical for Clorox (or some kind of cleaner like that) where the guy comes home and slaps a dead fish on the counter and she just smiles as she wipes up the blood--yeah, that would be my reaction if my DH did that--NOT! LOL!
