The DW and I are going to WDW Dec 28th thru Dec 2nd (without kids) to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We stayed at CR for our honeymoon and will be doing so again on this trip. To show her that I do love her (I know that I don't tell her often enough), I purchased a new diamond ring. I am still trying to come up with a "special way" to re-propose or ?? to give her the ring.

I have done little planning for this trip as it is intended to be more spontaneous. Yes, I realize that spontaneous and WDW tend to be mutually exclusive.

Help me out...

PS. Before anyone asks, she doesn't visit the DIS.

how about see if you could book one of those boat/firework cruises and propose with the fireworks in the background. I think they do them in the MK lagoon and also the epcot lagoon.

ps - thats really sweet

Dinner at California Grill (if you can still get an ADR) during the fireworks. Have he waiter "serve" it with a special dessert.

Well you can't get more romantic then at the castle at night under the fireworks?

Also there is a horse and carriage ride ( out of POFQ) that runs every evening, you can also BYOB on this, and maybe you could arrange for something there?

You could also check to see if you could get access to that carriage they use at the wedding pavilion.

I bet if you call someone over at that wedding planning place they could help you. Here I am spending all your $$!!

I also read on another board that you should mention to EVERYONE that you are on your honeymoon, and yes I think a 25th anniversay counts as such! Seems they might give you an upgrade, or free stuff

Good luck and Happy Anniversary!

I am a big fan of infront of the castle/near the castle during or shortly after wishes. This is probably one of the most commone places, though. This is where I hoped my DFi would do it, but darnit we didn't go to disney that year, so i got stuck with on the beach by moonlight. :teeth:
If there is a particular park/attraction that your DW loves, you could plan it around that. Like if she loves Italy in WS, maybe in the back portion of the pavillion near the fountain or something like that.

This is what my DH did on our 25th last year. It was so nice, and I didn't know anything about it before hand. He also, had some flowers at the table for me in three Pooh vases. The dessert thing would be really nice, try it. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Have Fun.

I saw someone proposing at one of the areas off to the side of the castle. There is a little bench and it's kinda quiet. I felt kinda bad because here my loud family comes clomping through while he's on his knees. I got out of there quickly and as quiet as possible.

As you're facing the castle coming down from Main Street, this area is on the right side.

There are so many wonder places in WDW....you can't go wrong. I just wanted to say, you must be a great guy. No wonder you are planning your 25th anniversary. We are getting close to our 27th and it takes a lot of work and committement. Congratulations to you and the lucky DW!

Are you splurging for a Tower room? If so, have a bottle of champagne sent to your room and do it on your balcony during Wishes.

The beach at the Poly is also very romantic and will be empty after Wishes. Maybe sharing one of the hammocks?

Or ... are you planning a special dinner? Give the ring to a CM when you take a potty break to serve with dessert.

Let us know what happens!

Maybe propose to her at her favorite place. Maybe at a certain restraunt, or her favorite ride, or show. Maybe at Epcot, during the fireworks in Italy or France. That would be romantic.

I agree about during fireworks! Which ever park you are at, snuggle up as you watch and do it then.
Have a great time!

That was going to be my suggestion!! I think it would be more romantic to do it alone on your balcony than to do it in the park while it's packed with people watching the fireworks.

Good luck, let us all know how it goes!

I totally agree. Make it all about her. Her favorite Disney World place. If you don't know exactly what that is, just tell her there's a thread going on the board about favorite Disney World places and you'd like to know what hers is. What makes her feel like "I'm here?". My husband and I renewed our wedding vows on our 20th anniversary (our exact 20th - same day, same time). I thought long and hard for over a year on where to do it. We ended up at a place that still brings great joy and even better memories - the Off Kilter seating area. Not the most romantic place in the World but every time we go back, I remember.

And you are a great guy for even thinking about this. We're coming up on our 25th. Congratulations!

You are a prince :sunny:
I agree to do it at her favorite restaurant or place in the World, as long as that doesn't entail trying to slip it on her finger while riding Space Mountain.

I got engaged behind the Castle right after Wishes and it was perfect. I saw someone propose during Wishes when Jiminy says "what do you wish for?" and yeah, I cried with the girl too! lol! She'll be thrilled no matter what you do though. :)

How sweet. No matter what you do, it will be a wonderful memory.
As a suggestion, though. It may be too short of notice now, but there is a wonderful company that helps you plan events like this. The woman's name is Jane and the web site is www.giftsofalifetime.com we have used them twice on trips we have taken and they are fitting to the names of pixies. They will set up a treasure hunt or help prepare a magical spot, check out their website.
Good luck, and enjoy every second of your trip together.

we were having dinner at crt one yr right at fireworks time...at a table by the window was a young couple and just as the fireworks started and they had just finished dinner he asked her to marry him and gave her a ring..it was amazing ..they were framed by the lights of the fireworks from the window and it was really special..and romantic. :earsgirl:

There are so many great places to give her the ring....I had hoped my husband would have given my engagement to me down at the little courtyard on the right side of the castle...
