Hi Ladies (and any men reading)

I was wondering how much do you pay for a haircut at your salon? I know prices can vary but I was wondering what the norm is.

Also, what type of salon do you go to?

The woman who has been cutting my hair for years (and I've followed her from place to place) has opened her own salon. I went there a few months ago (before she had put up the new awning) and I think I paid $40. I just went back the other day and the haircut was now $50. I like this woman and I do like the haircut but $50 seemed expensive to me.

What do you pay?

My usual stylist charges $17. Not a bad price, but she's very difficult to get to when you need your hair cut right away. Last time I was so desperate I went to Fantastic Sams - cost $12.00. And you know what, she did a GREAT job - best haircut I've ever had. Who knew?:D

I pay $32.00 for a wash, cut, and blowdry. I go to a full-service salon that does haircuts, color, make-up, skin care, nails, tanning, waxes, etc.

I'm not a lady, but my hair cust are free, because I ain't go no hair! I do have a little, but my DW cuts it for me and I pay her in favors!:smooth:

Well, I get my brows waxed and hair done at the same time, and with tip, it usually runs me about $45.

lol Tony!!

$10 + tip..for me

Now great clips has a special--$2.99 cut and dry...don't need a hair cut, but might have to go because it's cheap..

DW said I can get my hair cut at Disney in May!!:bounce:

$34 for a wash, cut, and blow dry. I go to a full-service salon.

$25-35 for wash, cut & style (depending on level of stylist I go to). I go to a full service salon & spa.

It's been over a year since I had my hair cut. Being back on a "student" status doesn't leave much for haircuts! ;) When it was being cut, I was easily paying $35. Once a year I'd treat myself to the place overlooking a lake with the snooty name and paid $50 a haircut. Those days are loooooooooooooong gone!

I get my hair cut - but always with either a perm or color. But my stylist charges $25 for a haircut (no styling).

$45 for a very relaxing scalp and shoulder massage (just for a couple of minutes), shampoo, cut, and blowdry. Of course you have to add the tip to that. :)

$34(wash, cut and blowdry), full service upscale place, and I like to go every 4-5 weeks.

I've followed my stylist 3 times, until she opened her shop with 3 others. I go every 5 weeks and pay $15 for a wash and cut and tip her $2.

is $14 where I go..cheap compared to what some of you are listing!!!!

$24 for a cut, dry, and style at a full-service, very busy and popular salon.
It's been interesting to see how the price has gone up in the 6 years I've used the same stylist (she's owner too).
Used to be $19 and I'd give her $25 to include her tip (a bit much, I know, but I love what she does).
Now she's down to $1 tip.
Our area is experiencing company downsizing and she says she's noticing it -- people are stretching out their appointments, not getting color or perms as much etc.
I do my own color though. That would put it up in the $50 range.
I go every 6 weeks religiously. My hair is short and would look shaggy if it went longer.

I go every 5 weeks and pay $26.00 for a wash cut and blowdry.

I was paying $50 to get my haircut too from a salon owner. She was always booked when you needed an appointment. So yeserday I tried a new place that charged me $20 and I LOVE IT!
I also got a gloss treatment for shine which was $30...but I felt like I got it for nothing:D
It's a nice salon that just opened up 6 months ago. It's in a Womans Workout Place, not too far from me.
I should mention it did take me a couple of places to find someone that I liked for a cut that was less expensive, but I think $50 is a lot to spend on just a cut.

My daughter and I have followed our stylist around from place to place. The last time we went we both got our eyebrows waxed and haircut for $34.00. I usually give her a $10.00 tip.
