Ladies - how much do you like receiving flowers??

How much do you enjoy receiving flowers as gifts?

  • Can't get enough flowers!

  • I could take 'em or leave 'em

  • Just give me the money and I'll buy something else!

I've always been curious as to what other women think about receiving flowers.

For myself, I find them too much hassle! I have enough trouble keeping my plants alive! :p

I love been given flowers. I always have at least 1 bunch of fresh flowers in the house. :flower3:

I love having fresh flowers, but they cost so much I think that the money could be spent on better things. Like jewelry. Ok, that would some pretty expensive flowers, but you get the point. I buy flowers for myself when they have them at ALDI's-$3.00/bunch-for Valentines day I got myself 12 of the most beautiful roses I have ever seen for $6.00! ::yes::

Well, this was directed to the women here, but as a guy, I do enjoy sending them, probably 6-8 times a year, for special days and special holidays. Always cut arrangements.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE getting flowers....especially sunflowers!!! I've only gotten flowers twice from my bf though...he doesn't believe in just because flowers. Sometimes I'll buy them for myself just to spiff up the apartment :)

i've nevr gotton flowers :'( my mom gave me some once and i've had a few corsages but i've never been sent any.. :sad1: :sad2:

I agree that flowers are nice, but when DH and I were still dating I told him to NEVER spend money on flowers. They are way too expensive and then they just die anyways. I told him to buy me Coke and chocolate...I would enjoy that more! :D

He did stop on the side of the road and pick some wildflowers for me once.....no money spent! :p

I love receiving flowers! :)

I like flowers but I'd rather have the money to spend on something else :p

I love getting flowers! Both of my sons gave me flowers on Sunday! The only problem is that our cat eats them - so we have to keep them up where he can't get to them!

I sent DH some flowers and they arrived today........

Just because.

Of course I sent them to work- and his desk is too full of 'stuff' to have them on it too. So they're on MY desk!!!!

:teeth:

I like them once in awhile - and my favorite is daisies.. I'm a real cheap date - LOL..

However, my DD keeps telling me they're "weeds" because you can pick them alongside the road..

Strongly dislike them.
When I was single it was different. It was a nice gesture and more of a gift. But now with DH & I on 1 income I just cant see wasting money on something thats going to die in a few days. Im not a flower/plant person anyway.
Once in a rare while if he sends them for something special then its ok but if its for one of the Hallmark holidays, or to make up for a fight, or something like that, Ill get mad. :teeth:

I like flowers, but would rather have something that will last longer.

I love fresh flowers. Either I buy them for DH or he buys them for me every payday. :)

I just adore getting flowers, but DH isn't one to send them without a little prodding! I always say "I guess I'll have to wait until I die, then I'll get them on my grave!" (I'm just kidding when I say it, but deep down inside, I'm hoping he'll get the little hint, but ne never does!)

Flowers are so expensive to send, and I'd rather he but the $$ towards something else, but every once in a while would be nice, either on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or my birthday.

Oh well, I really can't complain, at least he does share in my love for Disney and WDW vacations! :sunny:

I love getting flowers. I think I'd rather get flowers "just because" than for a special reason. I don't need a dozen roses...but mixed bouquet or even a single flower every now and then would be nice. :) Too bad they're so darn expensive!
