those workout videos that are kind of like stripper routines? I'm serious. They have one called the S Factor that Desperate Housewife Terri Hatcher uses. (She actually goes to the class) If she is anything to judge it by, they must work!! :rotfl: There are other versions to but here's a link to the one I'm talking about:
http://www.sfactor.com/

Anyways I was just wondering if it is something anyone has tried or would try? :confused3 It could have the added bonus of not only firming up yourself but giving your guy some free entertainment!! :thumbsup2

I am waiting for the classes to come to the YMCA :woohoo:

I just checked out the website and only got as far as..."inspired by stripteasing and pole dancing..." before I busted out laughing, which is exactly what my husband would do if he ever walked in on me while I was attempting to "exercise" using that method.

Much to the delight of the other family members living in my house, I think I'll stick with Stretching To The Oldies with Richard Simmons. More my style!

I keep meaning to look out for those dvds. I hate going to classes but it looks like a fun workout to do at home :teeth:

:rotfl2: No thanks. I once boy Billy Blanks Taebo and I couldn't get the moves right, I would butcher the stripper moves and I just don't think I want to put myself through that. ;) Strangly enough I would be too embarrassed to even do it for my DH. Unless I'd already had too much tequila, but thats another story. :drinking1

I wish my gym offered those classes. I am also looking to take a belly dancing class. :)

Our Y has Zoomba classes and one of the dances is belly dancing. It is fun and doesn't feel like a workout.

Although these days while dancing I stop moving but my body still shakes

Oh come on!! You should try it.
I ordered the first one in the series a long time ago when they first appeared on the scene and it isn't bad. It's not like you have to install a pole in your living room. (That comes much later!) ;)
In fact the first one is very slow with alot of stretching. And it's not just her in the video, they have two others who demonstrate different levels of skill. One of them is an older lady.

Of course, while I do believe they work, you have to actually use them not just let them sit on top of the DVD player collecting dust.

Well, you might be embarrassed, but I bet you anything he'd love it. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I've tried Carmen Electra's series. It is quite fun. Although doing it with all of your roomies does turn into a giggle fest, especially when one of those roomies is a guy, who gets mad because he doesn't have hips like a woman.

I can't imagine having something like that in my house with children around! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Maybe next year when they're all in school I'll learn to be a pole dancer. It may work into something that I can earn money off of one day! :woohoo:

Sure why not? Gotta get that money for their college education somewhere!! ;)

I've got two S-Series dvd's: The Beginning and Intermediate with Lapdance. It really is a great workout, and fun to do. It's a little embarrassing to perform for your dh at first, but a few drinks help! :drinking1 I would LOVE to try the pole stuff - but where the heck would I install a pole, and how would I explain that to my kids??? My dh jokes that he can install one in the garage, or man-shed, and tell the kids it's a fire pole (he's a fireman)!

Did anyone see that episode of King of Queens when Carrie bought a video so she could do dances for Doug? That was hilarious :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

This is exactly what you need:
http://www.platinumstages.com/

It says it's perfect for the living room, dorm room, etc.!! When not using the base you can use it for a table!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I do not own any of these but DBF would love it if I had the Carmen Electra one. I'm with everyone else. I would be too embarrassed to do this in front of him.

:rotfl2: Or you can just tell everyone that it is a Festivus Pole, you're getting ready early this year.

I have Fit to Strip by Carmen Electra....I love it! DH gets a kick out of watching me....

now if he has a pole installed in our bedroom......

I don't have rhythm, if someone can't dance, how would one do it? I would be too embarrassed to do it.
