I don't wear a whole lot of make-up.
I have worn some cheaper mascara that has been fine.

But, with a couple of vacation trips planned, I realize that I really NEED something better!

I really like a curved brush. For some reason, that seems to work for me. But curved seems harder to find. :confused3

There is a new Loreal with a really cool brush, that has like a little comb or combs instead of just brush-bristles. But I don't think that particular mascara is supposed to be waterproof. I was wondering if I got that one, just for the brush, if it would actually fit on a similar looking waterproof mascara... I can think out of the box to get something the way I need it!!!

Any recommendations?

More importantly, how do you safely get the stuff off your eyes?:headache:

OP, I used Cover Girl line at the moment. It does the job.

Now I have been going to Ulta recently and they have drugstore stuff AND higher end stuff. So if you have an Ulta handy to you, pop in there.:thumbsup2

I too, would love to find a really good product. I find that I get smudges on my lids (they use to be up so much higher! :rotfl2:). Difficult to find one that extends my lashes but doesn't smudge. I also need lengthening. And fullness. Oh, I'm a mess! :lmao:

I use nutrogena make up remover cloths. It makes it come off real easy.

Yes, I would also have to get some of those make-up remover cloths... Right now I use a cheaper mascara that comes right off. Just a little soap and water on my face!

And, my lids used to be a lot higher too!!!! Darn!!! :rotfl2:

I also did a search here, and found a thread where Loreal Voluminous and Million Lashes were recommended.

As well as what was called a 'tubing' mascara, a two-sided applicator where you apply a base coat pre-treatment, then the mascara, which dries onto it. Apparantly you use it this way, as this stuff dries into a complete solid ( no running, melting, flaking, water-proof, etc. ) but then the stuff comes off your lashes as solid strips when removed with hot water??? The base coat is what breaks down and releases it? Not sure how this works... Seems like double the work to apply. Seems strange.. sounds like these would not work well in hot weather???? You could lose you lashes!!!

For everyday I use Too Faced Lash Injection.

If I need extreme waterproofing for the beach(or like your vacay) I go for the old Maybeline Great Lash.

I use Pond's Cold Cream to remove my makeup.
