Last year I was planning on taking 4 - this summer I bought 2 that are closer to my new size
Thinking I'll need a 3rd (2nd tankini) - not in stores around here anymore
Think I can find a cruise tankini? Or should I look for a shop around Port Canaveral? How many bathing suits did you take with you?

Three, unless you don't mind damp bathing suits. I usually was in and out of suits twice in a day, and it usually took a full day to dry. Someone gave the hint to hang them upside down to dry, since no one likes a wet bottom. Given that, I might have been able to live with 2.

As to where to find a tankini, I'll give you my standard answer: Land's End. I love the way their suits fit and last. They also have lots of suits on clearance right now.

When we looked in Florida, most things were geared for the younger body. Now I don't know what your body looks like, but I didn't want to show NEARLY as much as those suits did, even when I had the body to do it! I wouldn't count on finding something in FL.

I took 2 bathing suits and it was fine - one for the morning and one for the afternoon. I hate putting on a cold, wet bathing suit. Although a 3rd would have been nice.

I took three and only used two. It does depend on how much time you're planning to be wearing a bathing suit. I'm not the lying-out-by-the pool kind! Be sure to bring some plastic clothes pins to clip your suit up to dry either on your verandah or in the bathroom.

My tankini is from Lands End, too!

Three, but that's just because I like all three of my suits. :)

You can get suits year-round at www.landsend.com and they have lots of tankinis.

I took two, and I got by, but I wish I had brought 3, and will do so on our next trip.

I am taking 3 on the 7 day, and one of them is a LandsEnd tankini. They are great for both fit and comfort.

Just bought another tankini today at JC Penney's online...clearance. Both pieces were $9.99. Can't beat that! I'll be taking two along.

You want to take this on or should I?

I'll take it on. My sons loved having wet bottoms, they were very hard to potty-train. See the recent thread on potty-training.

But seriously, it is also nice to have a two piece bathing suit. I get very over-heated if I have to layer a t-shirt over a full suit, say if you are getting off the ship to shop and swim. I'm taking a couple one piece suits and a two piece. Just got a two piece at New Port News for $5! Plus they always have great bargains on long torso sizes, much cheaper than Land's End.

I keep a travel clothes line in my travel kit. It is just two-braided elastic ropes with small hooks on the end. Came in handy, even using the one in the shower there was not enough space for all our wet stuff.
