Ladies, another question about ovarian cysts

I remember my endometrial biopsy being pretty uncomfortable, but bearable. I would talk to the doctor's office ahead of time to see what they recommend that you take when to help with the discomfort. I think they had me take a high dose of ibuprofen before coming.

It was NOTHING like childbirth for me (not even close), so try not to worry so much.

I've had 4-5 of these biopsies. Most times they tell me to take a large dose of Tylenol 30 minutes before the appointment. This last time, he surprised me and said he wanted to do one. I said NOW? Wait, let me take some Tylenol. My doctor always told me he likes to get it done quick because it is a foreign object snipping so it does cause cramping. I did have the sharp cramping for the two minutes, completely doable and light cramping for the rest of the day.

Ovarian cyst is a condition that can happen to many women. Be sure to change your doctor if the examination does not relieve your symptoms.

My 25 yr old daughter has had awful pain the past few months. Thank you to everyone who has posted here, especially Pea-n-Me.

She still isn't getting any concrete answers. Right now the pain seems to be better and the OB feels she had a cyst that burst. But the pain continued for about 2 weeks after. She has had several ultrasounds and actually went to 2 different OBGYN's. She has been off birth control for a year now trying to get pregnant. She got pregnant in May but lost it. Broke my heart. A few years ago she had a dermoid cyst and had to be rushed into surgery. Again, while at the ER they were saying she pulled a muscle. She demanded it wasn't that and finally they agreed to doing a CT Scan where they saw the cyst. Stupid people - a pulled muscle!! She looked at the ER doctor and said "I'm a law enforcement officer, I can handle pain, there is something wrong".

The latest doctor said she feels my DD is just very "sensitive" with feeling pain. What!? So frustrated....

I know this is a zombie thread but the information within is still so valuable. I'm sharing with my DD, who has cystic ovaries and I don't know what... but I've been with her when cysts have ruptured and it leaves her writhing in pain. She is off BCP now and has an IUD, and it seems that the cystic ruptures are fewer, but I don't know if the 2 are related or understand how they would be. Thanks to everyone who've shared here.
