Do all ice cream places have dairy free options? Sorbet perhaps? My DH and DS love ice cream but DD is lactose intolerant. It is not an allergy, she just cannot digest it. She gets very indignant when she thinks her options for treats are unfair. :)

I would probably email Special.Diets@Disneyworld.com and see if they can give you a list of where they may have dairy free ice cream options.

From my experience, no they don't have alternatives at every location that sells ice cream. Table service and quick service generally will, but the snack stands may not. Rice Dream products seem to be their go-to dairy free ice cream treats, but we were offered sorbet at several restaurants as well.

The ice cream parlor on Main Street in MK has both chocolate and vanilla Tofutti options. Beaches & Cream also has Rice Dream. I have also gotten a Rice Dream non-dairy milkshake at Sci-Fi Dine In before... It was AWESOME!!!

Not sure if you would want to try this but I have been taking Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerant pills for years and they work wonders!! It is all natural (basically the Lactase enzyme missing to help you digest dairy) and you can get them at Walmart, Rite Aid, Amazon etc. You take two pills the first day and then just one a day (I take it in the morning when I take my vitamins) and you can eat anything and everything without worrying about "issues". Ice Cream, cheese, dairy products etc. May be something you could check into. :)

I was going to suggest something like this also. I know my DH's grandfather took LactAid pills, and it allowed him to eat dairy foods. I'm not sure if those were just enzymes or not.

Lactaid is a little different. I took that for years until I found the digestive advantage. Both work but the lactaid you take everytime you eat dairy (right before preferably) but the Dig Adv you only have to take one pill a day and don't have to think about it again! :-)

There are tons of places with options. I highly recommend the Pineapple Dole Whip and there are amazing dairy free sorbets at L'artisan de Glace in the France pavilion at Epcot. Happy eating!

Dole Whip is what I ha and I am in love with. I am too lactose and almost every ice cream stand had one option that was dairy free. But if you are in Magic Kingdom I should getting yourself a Dole Whip. I just had my last one for my time here.
