Help please.Does anyone know if it is possible to buy lactose free milk on disney property, (such as a store in a resort)?
Also who would I need to contact to have this milk available at the resort I am staying at.
I need this milk for coffee, tea, cereal, etc. I'm not worried about finding things to eat on Disney property that are lactose free.
I just need some milk.
Any suggestions are welcomed.

NOTE: Products change frequently. Food that is safe on one trip may not be safe at the next, so please keep that in mind while reading threads about foods.

As of 1/09, there is a specific to support Guests' Special Dietary Requests. This is the email address for that department: specialdiets@disneyworld.com

Also, as of 1/09, there is a WDW webpage about Special Diets on the WDW website. It includes some links for frequent requests.

General for WDW: Brenda.Bennett@disney.com (Very helpful and can provide lists of 'safe' foods. It's a good idea to contact her each visit. Food supplies change frequently and food that is 'safe' on one trip may not be 'safe' on the next trip.)

Brenda is fast and efficient with answering emails.
Have a happy trip!

Hi we just returned on Sat. and we needed lactose free milk. We stayed at all star sports and they had silkmilk for sale in the food court. We were also able to request that they keep Lactaid milk in the back too. They asked what kind I wanted. Just make sure you contact Special Diets. They will forward the emails to your resort. When you check in make sure you speak with a manager in the quick service area to be sure they have what you need. It may take a couple hours to get everything to the resort.

All of the resort food courts I have been in have sold Silk Soymilk, my little sister needs it and we have never had a problem finding it.

I just got back and tried getting lactose free milk. It was a challenge. I contacted Brenda Bennett before hand, and she really didn't get me any info regarding lactaid. We stayed at AKL and I actually queried the AKL concierge b/c they don't have any other email. The answer I got from them, was basically that they have it on hand and just ask for it. If they don't have it, they'll get a runner. Yeah, they didn't have it. They all SWORE that they had it, but upon looking no one could find it. EEK. They said they could get a runner to get it for me, but I decided not to. So, I can't give you a review on how that works. However, they do have a lot of soy milk. (not my fav, but it works) Good luck on getting milk.

thanks for the info. Unfortunately,I really don't have much luck with silk and soy milk.

Many locations also have Pacific Rice Milk if soy is a problem. While some locations do have Lactaid, I believe it's easier to find the rice milk.

Since the times you want the lactose free milk are all at your own resort, when you first arrive, go to the food court and ask to speak to a chef. Ask where you can find the lactose free milk each morning. If he doesn't have it on hand then he'll have somebody bring it in so it'll be there in the morning when you're ready for breakfast and coffee.

Will you have a fridge in your room? If so, I would suggest buying a carton and keeping it in your room. If you will have a car, you can go shopping for it. You could also order with wegoshop.com if you will have other things you need to buy. You could also buy some lactose free milk that is shelf stable and just put it in the fridge after opening. I also agree with the PP's about special diets and also buying milk in the food court. :wizard:

CSR I hate to say it is not going to have the same options as the rest of the Disney resorts. Neither Pepper Market nor Mara are owned by Disney. The non-Disney owned food establishments simply aren't as good as the Disney owned ones regarding their accomodations and options for those with food allergies. This is why I'll never stay at CSR. I need for my resort to have Disney owned food options, or at least a Disney owned food court.
