Yesterday I read on here somewhere that if you don't have a fridge in your room they will comp you an extra QS credit, but now I can't find the source...anyone else heard/read/know anything about this, or have I just compeltely lost it? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Have not seen that. Did see several reports that some resorts are giving a $15.00 credit.

15.00 credit. Nothing about qs. Maybe someone thought it was equal to a qs credit. But no.

I got a letter about the frigs yesterday. Anyone know if I can still get the credit if asked? We have two rooms for 5 nights so that is a good chunk of change.

You should be able to still get the credit but there is a good chance the fridge replacement will be done by the time you go, in which case you wouldn't get a credit. They are running ahead of schedule on it.

It ask depends on if they have a fridge when you check in. You can't get the credit ahead of time. Most fridges have been swapped out at this point so chances of this great deal are going down. And really, anyone not on the DIS probably doesn't even know there was a problem. We would all like the credit, but odds are you will have a working fridge from this point on. Good luck though.

A working fridge or $15 credit? Either way sounds great. Glad to know Disney's ahead of schedule on this. :thumbsup2

It was someone on the POFQ FAQ thread (page 216) who claimed that her SIL spoke to the manager of POFQ who told her that she could get extra QS credits. I have a hard time believing that though because for one thing, when you call the hotel, your call actually goes to a call center, not the hotel itself.

I call the front desk directly whenever I have a hotel related question-you can find the number with a little google searching. My calls to them usually start a few weeks before our trip as I think of things :)

The front desk at all resorts do not field phone calls. Not even internal ones. They are expected to handle the guests there in person. You either got the call center or a PBX operator at the resort who are usually about as helpful as the call center.

I'll second this. !

I doubt that it would be a QS credit for a couple of reasons:
1) It's worthless to guests who aren't on the dining plan (and yes, there are many who don't use the dining plans);
2) It's worthless to guests who are on the deluxe plan.

If anything, I'd bet on the $15 credit.

I got the same letter we will be staying at Pop century Sept 9-19th.
Will there be a chance the fridges will be swapped out by then?? We have 6 kids combined and we need a fridge !!!

My ticker is the one from my last trip and I cannot remember how to remove it!! LOL!!:confused3

Does anyone know the status of the refrigerators at Beach Club? We leave in a week and I need to place my Garden Grocers order. I've gotta keep milk in the room.

I think Disney CM's can comp as they see fit based on the circumstances. So maybe that is what happened. We had a problem with our romm a few years back and were unhappy and we were credited 2 table service meals per person for our trouble!

I heard that you would get that or a $15 credit....but you need to ask for it....I am going in October so hopefully we will have a fridge in our room!

When I spoke to guest relations last week about the refrigerators (we needed to request one for medical purposes), she said they were being swapped out and most likely would be done by the end of September. If you need the fridge you can site medical reasons, we actually have medicine that needs to stay cold and I'm wary of using a cooler.

They were very accomodating and said you just need to request one when you check in. She mentioned nothing about a credit... but to be fair, I didn't ask either.
