Hi everyone. We're here now and staying at AKV then over to BWV. That said, really not much can be bad! We're having a great time and absolutely love it all.

However... If I could ask any "perk" of DVC membership, it would be to provide transfers for those members moving from one DVC resort to another. Last thing we want to do is spend up to 2 hours on buses or $30 on a cab. Oh well. Again, we are here so not much can be bad....

You can get your luggage transferred to the new resort. Just ask Bell Services for it to be done. Then take park transportation to a theme park and then another bus to your new resort after you have enjoyed the park.

Bell services will transfer your luggage and any packed up groceries. We did this in 2011 when we had a split stay. After we had bell services pick up our luggage we took the bus to DTD and spent the day at DisneyQuest. Then around 3:30 pm we took a bus to the new resort, checked-in, and bell services brought our luggage to us. It went very smooth, except I don't care for the feeling of being "homeless" for most of the day.

Like others have said, have bell services move your luggage and then take a bus to AK and transfer to the BW bus. It should be very easy. The other thing you could do is bus to DHS and walk or boat to BWV.

We always make our transfer days park days so we are busy and don't feel homeless!

Have fun!

As the others have noted, transferring can actually be quite simple, other than having to wait until as late as 4 p.m. for your new room to open. But, that would be the case no matter if there was a transfer perk. We've transferred a couple of times, and it has been a breeze. Have bell services pick up your luggage in the morning, head to the parks, then take the bus from whichever park you're in to your new resort. If one doesn't go to a park on transfer day, traveling to a park via a bus then taking a bus from the park to the new locale is still relatively easy and shouldn't take you two hours. Have fun! Wish I was at Disney right about now instead of sitting in 30F and blowing snow! ::yes::

To me this is like the valet parking issue, most appropriate to be pay to play rather than paid for by the general membership for the benefit of the few. As a rule perks don't cost when it comes to management, this would have a real cost that someone would have to pay for. To me, that someone should best be the one who receives the service.

Except for the snow, it's been pretty cold here. The other night it went down to 37:scared1::scared1: During the day, yesterday was the first day to reach 70.
Right now it's about 50 and going to about 72. Should be perfect for park touring later. I actually prefer the cooler weather when doing parks at peak times. Doesn't "feel" crowded when I'm not dying with the humidity. It's been gorgeous during the day for me. My DD would prefer it warmer.

Yes I do know about luggage transfer. Thank you for the reminder though. We have carry-on luggage and one small bag of food. We decided to take it ourselves and pay for a cab over. We just are very ready to be there at the BWV. We don't want to go to the parks first, rather have lunch on the Bw and get our room and then head over to Epcot later this afternoon. But, it is a great idea to make a transfer day a full park day and I'll keep that in mind for the future. You guys are awesome! Can always count on these boards for the right way to go so thank you again!

Happy holiday!

I must admit that those temps are a bit low for being in FL, but I'd take them right about now. Lol. Like your plan to lunch, relax, then head to a park later. Sigh..... ;-)

So far, a great plan. Got here around 11.
Checked in. Room not ready so we checked our luggage and headed over to ESPN for lunch. Now hanging at the pool. It's cool in the shade and perfect in the sun. No humidity. We will go to our room when it's assigned and get ready for EPCOT!! Great way to spend our last day here! I don't want to go home!!
