Lack of Availabilty for Early November

I am an AP holder. I currently have a reservation at Poly TPV CL for November 9-13th, I received a good bounceback rate of 40%. I have been waiting for the AP discounts to come out so that I could lose the one day tickets, When I called this morning after being on hold for 40 minutes, then because I wanted to change from BB to AP rate another 20 minutes on hold-I was told that the Poly was completely sold out (all rooms) for my dates, even at rack rate. She also told me the same about CR and GF. So now I am stuck with the base tickets, which she told me were not transferrable to anyone else. I thought the beginning of November was a quiet time at Disney. I can't believe the lack of availability-even at rack rate. She told me my only other options were BC, AK or WL. I'm not changing resorts at this point in time, as I stated I have a great discount-but I didn't realize Disney would be so busy at this time of year. With the great offers to the GP I don't think I will renew my AP this year.

We're going during the second week of November, and when I tried to book a GV (cheapest) room at the GF back in April, there were none available. There weren't even any LV rooms. We wound up booking a Theme Park View (TPV) and spending lots of extra money. Even my long-time Disney Specialist TA was baffled at the lack of available rooms at this quiet time of year (our usual time to visit WDW).

I am going November 9-16 and it looks like the Poly, GF, and Contemporary are all booked. I think it has something to do with the Golf Tournament going on during that time. I am curious as to why on the 16th MK is closing at 6:30

This is a bit off-topic, but, I have to say I'm really gonna miss going in early to mid-November - it's such a wonderful time to go if you can: the weather is awesome, the crowds are lower, the Christmas decorations are up...

DD is going into 6th grade this year, and we are going this November, but her schoolwork is becoming harder and more plentiful, so I can't imagine doing this when she's in 7th or 8th grade (I'm a little worried about what she'll miss this year, although she's an A student). DH can't stand large crowds and none of can stand 90+ temps, so I don't know when we'll be able to go back after this year...

I thought the Jersey week crowds would be gone by November 9th. Do you know the actual dates of Jersey week? THANKS!

Jersey Week is the first week of November this year, so the JW crowds will certainly be gone by the 9th - I don't know what's going on that's different than usual during the second week of November, but there sure is a lack of rooms available that week (for the Monorail resorts, anyway)...

I am finding the same thing! I am having slightly better luck with Nov. 6-10 than the 11-13. Also, if you bought 1-day tickets I have heard that they ARE transferrable, since they've never been used.

I completely understand. My dd starts kindergarten this year. I am not too concerned with pulling her out this year since I am sending her to a private kindergarten since our school district only offers 1/2 day. She will go full day and not have they typical holiday vacations. Next year, I think we will be on hiatus from Disney. I can't deal with crowds or heat either.
