Laci' Peterson's husband is lower than dirt...

Sounds like a nut job to me. And a person working in a store doesn't know how to contact police? Considering how stores get robbed alot I would think if you work there you would know to call 911. And she didn't take the time to get the plates or description of the vehicle? Nut job.

I'm sorry but that's just odd. Why would you wrap umbrellas in a tarp? There are too many "odd occurences"!!!!!

I hadn't heard that!

The wh ole thing is very odd to me, when I was pregnant and near the end , my dh never went anywhere far without me , in fact when we left town we travelled closer to the hospital. What kind of husband would leave his pregnant wife at almost the end of the pregnancy to go fishing for the day?
But the best one is the clerk, why she would not take it seriously I don't know but who in God's green earth does not know how to dial 911??? this is something they teach to kids in school nowadays. Something is really fishy.

What husband goes fishing on Christmas Eve and leaves his wife who is expecting their first child.. something is amiss here..

That is exactly what Ive said from day one. That right there sounds odd to me...and to have her disappear that day same day is too much of a coincidence.

Well...MY DH went fishing this Christmas Eve....and I"M still alive.I didn't realize there were only certain days it was "OK" to go fishing?

I have to add something else (I know he could be guilty-but to assume BECAUSE he went fishing that he's guilty is just silly)...my DH did not sit by my side 24/7 all the months brfore I gave birth. The woman was not due until Feb.....to assume that a husband should always be at his wife's side every moment before birth sounds a little like the Stone Age to me.

I have to agree with pollyanna on this one.

The guy was an avid fisherman. I don't think it incriminates him, necessarily. I do think the fact that he was having an affair sheds some light on his character, but I don't think that necessarily implicates him either.

I'd have to hear hard evidence - blood in the car, in the house, that kind of thing - that made me say 100% that he killed her.

Well yeah Pollyanna. . but he's married to you. . ;)

:teeth:

Just kidding. . . I think the fact that she was almost 8 months pregnant and he left her alone on Christmas eve to go fishing by himself is only a little strange. . . but you throw in the fact she disapeared that day, and now the affair info comes out. .

I don't know; maybe he's totally innocent, and maybe she's still alive, but it sure doesn't sound good. . :(

I don't think anyone is saying it is unheard of, but a little odd. And how far from home did your husband go to go fishing? Was your husband having an affair that you know of? I think it is just the actual situation that puts doubts in peoples minds about Mr. Peterson, not only what he chose to do that day. In your case, it doesn't seem so strange, but to me, this Peterson case is very bizarre. This is of course just my opinion that he knows or is involved somehow.

Actually my DH is more than an "avid" fisherman.;)
He drove 2 1/2 hours to fish in this god=forsaken place where redfish literally jump in his boat..in the backwoods swamp lands of Louisiana....and a pretty good & deserted place to dump a body.;)

I found it odd that he went fishing Christmas Eve, but I don't like to fish.

In my other post--regarding his affair--I said any self respecting woman would have left if she found out about the affair.
I apologize for that remark....It was my opinion about it.
I would never..if I were 8 months pregnant, think it would be okay for my DH to have an affair.(and forgive him on the spot)

While some people have "Higher convinctions" than I, I applaud you. To me, it would extremely hard to forgive my DH for that.

BTW-my husband did leave me for a Indy 500 trip while I was 8 months pregnant. But, it was with our second child, and then third. I thought he may never get the chance to see the time trials again, so I sent him.
Was I upset he left? No, I just wanted him out of the house, he was driving me crazy!

that was from the Goodmorning America interview with Diane Sawyer.

I was really hoping this "breaking news" was going to be more reliable then it has come out to be.

The one thing that really makes it unlikely is that the pregnant lady paid with a check (told the clerk "just fill in the amount") but Lacy's person and checkbook were left at her house. I doubt that this woman saw Laci. So did she make the entire thing up or did she see another preganant lady who may have been kidnapped??

And in regards to the "umbrellas" wrapped in the blue tarp. I too am very curious if the police have investagated this. If fishing on Christmas Eve is odd, how about putting the patio umbrellas in your "warehouse" on Christmas Eve.

And one thing that was mention on one of the news shows (either John Walsh or the local morning news show) is that it was a cold and drizzly day Christmas Eve. Who fishes in the rain??

Not to belabor this point.......but avid sportsmen don't care about weather OR holidays. DDDH's uncle and son ALWAYS go duck hunting on Christmas Morning,so the family "works" the holiday around them....Mass on X-mass eve...X-mass dinnner in the late afternoon.I just don't think this is a significant "guilty" behavior....but I guess ,unless you are married to a sportsnut, you might not "get it".

I still think he's guilty.

Thanks, I didn't doubt you. I just was surprised at the new information.

Who fishes in the rain?? [/B]

My husband does. It is a great time to catch fish. He would also go fishing on Christmas Eve or Day if we lived in a warmer climate. He isn't THAT big on ice fishing. I do not think the fact he was fishing on Christmas Eve is odd at all. She was not due until Febuary and she had other family around so she was not alone. I think there are a lot of other 'fishy" things about that man:p

I have no problem with him fishing on Christmas Eve, he could have gone golfing (according to one interview/report) is that any better or worse?? I just thought it odd to do it in the rain. But I don't fish, hunt, or anything such as that.

The thing I am wondering is, if he told Laci about the affair like he says he did - she's going to believe him if he says he's going fishing all day? If my husband told me he was having an affair and then said he was going fishing on Christmas Eve - I'd think he was going to see the girlfriend!

But I really don't believe he told Laci about the affair anyway. I think he did it. If not, why all the lies?

First of all... LOL @ Poohbear!

Next...

Scott insists he told Laci about the other woman... but he didn't tell the other woman about Laci... duh...why should anyone believe him?

Then again... if he intended to murder for Laci for insurance $... it should have occured to him that insurance companies try to wangle out of paying claims and I don't think he would get a cent without a body... therefore he would have to leave the body somewhere where it would be found.

No body or sign of mass trauma where you can determine death... well, no $

Gosh if I was her family... or even his, I would be all over that guy trying to get answers.

And now he says he has told everything... but still refuses a polygraph... he's hiding something.

Grrrrrrr.. I'd like some time alone with Scott...
