Lacey & Keith's 10/24/11 Wishes Wedding! ***honeymoon, day 4...updated 6/18***

I love all of the reception pictures, Lacey! Especially the line dance--we did that too, it was so much fun. HAHAH, my FIL, also had the same advice when he won the anniversary dance...maybe it's man-law? ;)

Wonderful! More, please! :goodvibes

Love how you did your "Old school" father daughter dance Lacey, perfect!

Your reception looks fun and everyone is so happy :D

Looking forward to reading about your surprise evening!

Aw Lacey, the reception looks like so much fun!! The St James is our back-up for our cocktail hour (current location is SBP), we toured it during our PS but it wasn't set up pretty or anything, it looks so nice! Your cake looks great too and peanut butter cup filling?? mmmmmm...... :rotfl:

Looking forward to more! popcorn::

My biggest wish is that I have as much fun, and look good doing it as you do!! Thanks for the pictures, it looks like the perfect day =)

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. I love it all. You look like you had so much fun! I so would have put that Tinkerbell in the crown in my purse!

Love the dance moves! haha. BUT I do a similar one as well! haha. ;D <3

Lacey,

Sorry that I haven't commented on your updates before now. You had so much to comment on, I had to take notes to makes sure I didn't miss anything. :)

First off, please allow me to express my deepest sympathies to you and Keith regarding your MIL. We lost Paul's mom less than 2 years after we got married and I felt the same way about my MIL that you do about yours. I am glad, for you and Keith, that she was able to make it your wedding and had such an amazing time. Those are memories to look back on and cherish.

Okay...on to the happy stuff.

I get to meet Janet in April, since we had to move our PS trip up, so I am very excited. She did a beautiful job with your hair and makeup.

Thanks for asking about WW. I am back on track after being sick for a while and the holidays. The last 2 weeks have really gone well, so hopefully that will continue. Paul needs a kick in the butt, but I think he is heading back in the right direction. :rotfl:

Love all the updates!! Wow! What a fantabulous wedding and reception you had!

* Love, love the red sofa picture. You look amazing!
* The picture of you and Keith on the bench is beautiful.
* So glad you loved the St. James room. We loved it when we saw it on our site visit. We are using it for our Welcome Dinner. Love that they put the bar on the patio and the buffet in the hallway. I will have to ask about that at our PS. The room looks great in your photos. It's nice to see it set up for a change. :)
* We are doing the Tinkerbell menu too, with some changes. Nice to see that you were pleased with your choices. What changes did you make, if you don't mind.
* Your cake is lovely! I am so shocked that it is mostly pink, but then again we both seem to have a pink problem. (I bought a pink ring!)
* Paul's and my first dance the first time around was "In My Life". I got a little chill when you said that Keith and his mom danced to it. Beautiful choice.
Did you ever hear of the Beatles cover band Beatlejuice that had Brad Delp from Boston in it? My first trip to Boston in 2000, we went to see them play and after they played "In My Life", I leaned over and told Paul I loved him (not the first time for me). But, for the first time from him he told me that he loved me too!! The song has a very special place in our hearts. Sorry, just had to share.
* Love the Lacey! Great move.
* More drinks! What did you think this whole trip was all about you??? :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Can't wait to read and see more!

As much as it pains me to say it, good luck to the Pats.

Mrs Lacey!

I do hope married life is treating you well! :)

I be you cant believe you've been married for 6 months! Have you missed talking about weddings! hehe Thats what everyone keeps telling me anyway... 'what are you going to do when the wedding is over' lol my answer is decorate the house! and get a dog! haha

Anyway, would love to hear what you've been up to!

Lots of Love

Faye

I saw that you had the Tinkerbell brunch! That is the one we were thinking of having as well. :) May I ask which items you had?

Dearest Faye, married life has been wonderful! I can't believe 6 months has come and gone so quickly! Thank you for thinking of me!

I saw that you had the Tinkerbell brunch! That is the one we were thinking of having as well. :) May I ask which items you had?

Yes, we had the tinkerbell brunch buffet and it was AMAZING!!! Not one single complaint! :goodvibes

I am going to list the items straight from my BEO. We had a few minor changes/additions from the standard menu:
*Oven roasted yukon gold potatoes with braised fennel and parmesan cheese
*Bacon
*Fresh tomato and mozarella salad with balsamic and fresh basil
*Grilled chicken with wild mushroom ragout and pinot reduction
*Penne pasta with artichoke cream and julienne vegetables
*Mickey waffel bar with seasonal berries, warm fruit compote, maple syrup, and whipped cream
*eggs and omelets (made to order--with a TON of ingredients, I am just not going to list them)
*chocolate crepes with cream cheese and fresh berries
*cinnamon rolls, danish pastries, croissants, pretzel bread (this was an addition especially for DH), and hard rolls
*assorted juices, coffees, teas

Our guests loved everything, and people returned to the buffet multiple times. Everything was perfect!:yay:

Hello all! It's been over 6 months since DH and I had the most wonderful wishes wedding. It has also been quite a few months since I've updated my PJ (I know, I am a bad disbride!!!). I had quite a hard time adjusting to life after the wedding. Not because anything was wrong, but because I truly missed the wedding planning!! :( Up until the big day, I LIVED AND BREATHED wedding planning, and it was soooo disappointing when it was all over. I am sure some of you can understand how I've been feeling. :goodvibes But don't think I'm throwing myself a pity-party over here. Life has been pretty good lately. I know that some of you have seen the happy news on facebook, but for those of you that don't know...DH and I are expecting a baby boy in August! :yay: :cool1: :dance3: :woohoo:

This picture is from about 5 weeks ago...so naturally I have gotten bigger (and so has the baby!!!)

And just in case anyone out there is still interested in hearing about the most magical day in our lives, I am going to tell you all about the fun that happened after the wedding!

Our reception ended at 3pm, and DH and I made our way back to our hotel room. During the wedding, the best man and groomsmen had a beautiful bouquet of red roses sent to me in the hotel room. How sweet are they??? I am not sure if I mentioned it earlier, but the guys also had flowers delivered to my grandmother for her birthday.

DH and I rested for a bit (DH actually fell asleep, but I was still too wired!!!) and then got ready to meet everyone in EPCOT. The plan was to meet everyone in Mexico at 5pm to begin drinking around the world. I made it super easy for our guests and brought a bag containing everyone's personalized passports, pens, and wedding buttons that I made so I could just pass them out to everyone at the beginning. I didn't give them in the welcome folders because I was afraid some people would forget them! :rolleyes1

We had a blast! The food and wine festival was going on, so the crowds were a bit heavy, but we managed to have an amazing time. The passports came with detailed instructions (I'm sure you aren't surprised) and our guests had the option to stay with the big crowd, or split up and meet in the UK before the DP. Most people stayed with the crowd...

How cute is she??? 7 months pregnant and walked all the way around the world with the rest of the gang! I made "sober passports" for the kids and non-drinkers of the bunch so they could still be part of the group.

All but 4 of our guests came to EPCOT in the afternoon to drink around the world. The other 4 had instructions to meet a guide at guest relations at a certain time so they could be escorted to the DP. Now remember, the DP was a surprise to EVERYONE at the wedding, including DH. Everyone knew we were going to have a "special viewing" of illuminations, but nobody had any idea there was going to be another party. I am SO PROUD of myself for not spilling the beans to anyone!!! :woohoo:

Everyone managed to get to the UK pavilion on time, and I led the way to the upper terrace for our party. When I had made the decision to do the DP, the lower terrace was already booked. I was a little nervous because I had heard that the upper terrace didn't have as good a view as the lower terrace, but let me tell you...it was wonderful! Every single person was so surprised and excited that we had our own private viewing of the fireworks and YUMMY desserts to enjoy!

I chose the Marceline buffet, which was the cheapest option. I am SO SO SO glad I did, because there was still a TON of food and any more would have been ridiculous (we just sampled yummy international food, don't forget!).

This is what we had on the menu:
Tie-Dye Cupcakes
Chocolate Brownies
Chocolate peanut butter squares (instead of the marshmallow squares with butterscotch chips) ***my FAVORITE thing on the menu. I had like, 4 of them!
Banana Pudding Trifle

Fruit Punch
Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, and Selection of Teas
Flavored Syrups and Sticks, Sugars, Cream, and Honey

Rather than spend extra money on decorations, I asked the floral team to reuse our centerpieces from the reception, and they sprinkled confetti on the tables. I had made a banner that said "sweet treats" and the CMs hung it for me before the party started.

I also purchased a ton of glowsticks for the event, and gave them to our planner to put out before the fireworks.

This is my nephew, who really enjoyed the glowsticks! :rotfl2:

This is me making a little speech thanking our guests for being part of our wedding. I HATE public speaking, so it's a good thing I had already enjoyed a few adult beverages to loosen me up! ;) Oh, and notice the green glasses DH is holding...he and I each received a pair to view the fireworks. They are special 3d glasses that make mickey's head appear in the fireworks. Coolest thing ever! :worship:

For anyone who is debating whether or not to do a DP, I say go for it! I didn't wear my dress or spend the extra $$$ to have a Disney photographer take pictures, and it was still magical. To this day, so many of our guests say that was the coolest part of their entire trip. :yay:

Hi Emma! I am happy to know you are still following along! I can't wait to read about your upcoming trips! I LOVED reading your honeymoon TR! :)

Part 1

Yes, this is technically our honeymoon because it is our first day of vacation as a married couple. However, the first day of our "honeymoon" was spent with a number of our friends and family who were still vacationing in the World.

dsc_4321.jpg

We started our day at Chef Mickey's with about 20 (I can't remember the exact number!) of our guests who were still around. When I took DH to WDW a few years back (his first visit) we ate breakfast at Chef Mickey's, and this is something he really wanted to do again. We checked in for our reservation on time (probably because I drilled it into everyone's head that they had to be there on time or else the rest of the party couldn't be seated! :rolleyes1) and only had to wait about 10-15 minutes before we were all seated. They had two big round tables set up for our group. DH's family sat at one table, and we sat with our group of friends at the other table.

dsc_4335.jpg

Everyone seemed to have a great time. The food was delicious (and I of course stuffed myself silly). Our server noticed our just married buttons and my bride ears and congratulated us on our recent marriage. She also brought DH and me each one of these...

Here we are blowing out our candles...
dsc_4324.jpg

I gave mine to our friends' little girl, who enjoyed it wayyyy more than I would have!! :lovestruc
IMG_0103.jpg

We managed to get pics with all the characters (I won't bore you with every single one of them, I promise!)
dsc_4333.jpg

After breakfast we said goodbye to quite a few of our guests who were leaving to return home or to continue on their own little vacations. :wave2: DH, his best man, BM's girlfriend, and I jumped on a bus and headed over to MGM (I still can't get used to saying Hollywood Studios) for a few hours...

-Your guests actually arrived on time for CMs?! I’m super jealous!! Ha!
-Awww look at the little girl with the little cupcake! That was sweet of you. I ate the frosting off of mine because I am an Adult.
-You two look so happy with Donald. ☺ I am excited for more!

Yes, our guests arrived on time--mainly because everyone is scared of me! :p

So I gave away my cupcake but that didn't stop me from sampling DH's. I would have eaten more if I hadn't gorged myself on breakfast. :rotfl2:

DH is such a good sport when it comes to pictures. I don't think he gets nearly as excited as I do about the characters, but he pretends he does...:donald:
