labor day weekend

we are thinking of goind to DL and DCA labor day weekend...we would be there aug 31-sep 4! Are the crowds terrible this weekend, or would we be o.k. also, how is the weather?TIA!!!

Just a reminder that the Disneyana Convention is at the Disneyland Resort starting Tuesday 9/4/01 with lots of out of town conventioneers arriving Sunday Sept 3rd fro the week. The convention ends Saturday 9/8/01 and we are going home that Sunday.
Don't know how it will effect park attendance, but there will be over 1000 disney fans around the resort complex.

We have been to Disneyland 8 times out of the last 13 years on the Labor Day weekend. We have experienced both very light attendance on that weekend and very heavy attendance. What we usually do is take advantage of the early morning entry program on one of the days and ride the most popular attractions very early in the day. We take a break in the afternoon for a swim and nap. Then return to the park in the early evening to eat dinner and catch either the parade or Fantasmic. While most of the people who stayed all day are filing numbly out of the park, we are still fresh and ride more of the poular rides. By monitoring the attraction board on Main Street and using this approach we seldom wait more than twenty minutes for a ride. So the crowds do not matter as much to us because we have a general plan that works. We will be there as well that weekend. It will be interesting to see if that game plan will work for us including DCA into the mix. We'll hope to see you there.
