I will be there this weekend as well. The unofficial guide has it pegged as a "6" through the weekend. Everything I have read agrees that this holiday has minimal impact on crowds.........just your typical weekend crowds........moderately busy. Go at opening, use fastpasses, you win!
Hi all I also will be there that weekend! Not familiar with the number scale what does 6 mean? Now- what day will be the least crowded? Trying to do most visiting on Sat. What do you think?
We are going to be there from the 28th to the 4th. I plan on doing the parks and our favorite rides during the week just in case the weekend is packed. The weekend we are saving for early water park mornings, Laua on Saturday and the rest playing it by ear. I have family that lives in FL and I will be talking with her today on when they could possibly met up with us. So far we have a wonderful vacation planned. Keeping fingers crossed for no hurricanes.
The Unofficial guide has a site for "predicted crowd level". The scale ranges from 1 to 10, with 10 being the busiest days of the year. The lowest number for the whole year is a "4", usually Early September, 2nd week of December.....the quiet times. Christmas week........you guessed it, a "10". I have found this crowd level number to be a good motivator, getting the troops out of bed, trying to get to MK for rope drop.
"Rise and Shine you pirates. Magic Kingdom is a "7" today, this is not a drill, let's move it like you mean it people!"
Okay, for all of you going in that time frame - have you received your package info yet with the holographic luggage tags. We are there Sept 2-9 and haven't seen anything. Anyone else?

We'll be there for Labor Day weekend -- our third Labor Day in Disney. We've found it fairly e-m-p-t-y. I would put it well below March and May crowds. It was about equal to our week-after-Turkey-Day trip. Kids are back in school or headed back within days. If it weren't 10 degrees hotter than Hades, it would be my favorite time to go.
Speaking from experience...Labor Day itself will be empty. We noticed this the past 3 years. I guess everyone heads home that Monday. No Fast Passes needed.
