Labor Day weekend - Saturday or Sunday?

We are planning a last minute trip to Disneyland for one day - and can visit either Saturday (August 30) or Sunday (August 31). Wondering if you think one day would likely be less crowded than the other?
I also just learned that this is the half-marathon weekend - will the park be operating as normal?

I would say Saturday. A lot of the runners will not want to stay out late that day because we have to get up at the crack of dawn Sunday to run. The parks are operating as normal, though most APs will be blocked.

I'd do Saturday, especially if you're not staying overnight the night before. The road closures and parking lot delays for the 10k will be a lot less than the half. I would avoid Mickey and Friends due to the expo happening at DLH that day. However, you will need to check the road closures for Toy Story, as that may be an issue as well.
