Labor Day Weekend Packed this Year???

Usually Labor Day weekend is one of the slowest times of the year at Disneyland. We will be there September 1st to the 6th. Booked reservations for the 1st and 2nd at 6:30a today and yesterday. When I went back on to the site at 10a the reservations were already full for those dates. Maybe it will be packed this year????

Hi. I’m super late to reply but I was looking for posts about Labor Day weekend. I’m also going Labor Day weekend and just booked my trip today. There were quite a few reservations left and none of the parks are full. Fingers crossed it’s not too busy.

Labor DAY is always busy. The weekend leading up is as well. This is one weekend we always skip as passholders. It's not worth the hassle.

We went Labor Day 2019. Saturday was busy, Sunday was CRAZY busy, and Monday was quiet.

It is historically always busy, and I imagine it will be this year with MSEP and the forever fireworks ending 9/1 and Halloweentime starting 9/2.

We always went the Wednesday/Thursday/Friday of Labor Day week (or the following weekend) and it would progressively get less busy with each passing day, but this was pre-2020, all bets are off!

We went Labor Day 2019. Saturday was busy, Sunday was CRAZY busy, and Monday was quiet.

Really ! This is god to know. We will also be there Tuesday which I’ve read is also very busy. I wonder why Monday is so slow!

Bumping an old thread to see if any of you actually went over Labor Day weekend 2022. We're going to do 4 park days, Weds to Sun, either Labor Day weekend or the last full weekend in August 2023

I'm tempted by Labor Day for the HM overlay, versus it being closed the week before, but not sure about how much worse the crowds really are. We love being in WDW around Labor Day, but I know that crowd flow is a different beast entirely.

I don’t think using this past year has a measure for this coming year is going to be easy. We had one of our worst heat waves this past year (it was 100+ everyday that weekend). I went Saturday of Labor Day weekend. It was a busy but not horrible.

Good to know! I'll be careful about drawing any conclusions given the extreme weather.

We were also there last summer and it was HOT! But not very crowded during the day. In the evening you get the locals with APs, so crowding goes up as the day moved into evening it seemed.
