Labor Day weekend folks - was it crazy busy over the weekend?

Curious to see if the parks beef up over the weekend of Labor Day. Anyone just back who could share?

the parks were dead i hit the paks early morning left when it got horriably hot returned when the sun started to fall and never waited long for a ride. Longest wait was sunday @ mgm for aerosmiths rock n roller coaster

We were there from 8/31-9/5. Everything was practically deserted until we ran into crowds on Sunday at Magic Kingdom.

Thanks! We were there the week before, but DH thinks we'd hit lower crowds the absolute last week of August as compared with the third. But I didn't know if the holiday weekend would put a damper on it.

Labor Day weekend being crowded is a myth that has circled around for years. I've always suspected that it's folks that have never actually been there during that time that are perpetuating it.

Even still, this year was even lighter than past years. Gas prices and hurricanes seem to be the culprits. On Monday, you could practically walk on any attraction throughout the day. Sunday at MK got a little heavy in the afternoon, as did the Studios. Otherwise, it was super light.

We were there from late Friday night until Monday morning. We went to MGM on Saturday, didn't get into the park till about 10 AM, alittle later than planned, but had no real lines to contend with. The longest line we hit was for the Back Lot Tour, think we waited about 15-20 minutes for that, otherwise not a problem. Saw Bear (Playhouse Disney) twice, once when entering the park then again on the way out. That was my 1.5 yo grandson's favorite. It seemed as if the later show, about 4 PM, was less crowded than the earlier one we saw. Sunday AM, we had 8 AM adrs at CP, then we hit MK at 9 AM. I had joined Tour Guide Mikes web site and followed his touring plan for MK. We did great, I dont know if it was due to TGM or just low crowds, but we saw and did everything we wanted to and were heading out of MK by about 2 PM. We really had a great trip, with no lines.

We were just there for the long weekend. We thought it wasn't very crowded.
