Labor Day Weekend DISers: TOMORROW!!! (UPDATED)

I just watched the Today Show and Al said Hurricane (whatever name) is over Cuba and headed for the Gulf. By Sunday it's supposed to be in the Gulf so hopefully it will just keep trekking toward the left and not loop back around to the right!:rolleyes2 Keep your fingers crossed!pixiedust: :wave2:

That's good news! I checked the Weather Channel website this morning and it just has scattered t-storms for the weekend & the week after, so that's great news! That means just the usual rainy season 4pm sunshower, and I can deal with that! :woohoo: Keeping my fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed!!

ETA:
4 MORE DAYS!!

I agree this is good news for us :thumbsup2 , but unfortunately it looks like it will be really bad news for somewhere else. The forecast can definitely change, but the current path appears for Gustav to head into the gulf & strengthen to at least a Cat 3. The forecast model which predicted Fay's path correctly predicts Gustav to head directly to Louisana :scared1: :scared1:

Woo Hoo!! We leave tommorrow printed out our boarding passes and praying the hurricane stays away from Florida for our flight home on Sept. 2. Linda :cool1:

Yeah your right...it is great news for us but I hope it doesn't turn out to be another disaster! The last time we had a real hurricane threat to worry about ruining our vacation it turned out to be Katrina! Talk about feeling guilty. As we were sitting in our Soundfront vacation house enjoying the beautiful weather, we were watching the catastrophe unfold on television! In the days leading up to it we kept talking about how we hope this one doesn't ruin our trip the way so many previous ones had. I think I felt guilty for months! Well here's hoping we have beautiful weather and NO ONE has to go through anything remotely close to that disaster again!:drinking1 pixiedust:

woooooo hoooooooo only 3 days to go! Oh it can't get here fast enought :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:    :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: :woohoo: Praying for good weather too!

We got smart this year. We arrive on Labor Day just when everyone else is heading home. In 2007 we arrived on the Thursday before Labor Day and paid the price over the busy holiday weekend. After Monday the crowds were gone, except for resturants which were full due to free dining. This year we are hoping for the same light crowds during the week after Labor Day.

Only 5 days until we head out!:woohoo:

wow only 3 more days!!! I can't even stand it!!!!!
