With the exception of last year's hurricane, how has labor day weekend been at WDW with crowd levels?

What of labor day itself?

I will be there that week myself!!!!

9/4 - 9/10/05.

very interested in seeing the responses to this thread

Ive been there at that time for the past 4 years. Up until Labor Day itself, its pretty full....not like Christmas or Easter but its not empty either...I'd say average attendance. On Labor Day (Monday), it seems very empty....almost like a ghost town.

:cool1: I would love it if it's not busy the week after Labor Day! Right now I have parks planned for every day (just because last time we went in late June and we didn't get to ride everything and I don't want that to happen again). But if we could ride everything multiple times and spend one day at the pool or DTD that would be wonderful!! Cuz DH said don't even think about asking to go back next year :sad2:

We went in 2003 on the day after labor day and stayed for that week - it was practically empty until the weekend. That's when all the "locals" went to the parks. Our longest wait for a ride was 7 minutes (yes, I timed it) :rotfl2:

We were there for Labor Day weekend in 2003 and would not do that again. It was so crowded that weekend. We were in MK and every ride was over 50 mintues and the park was packed. We checked out on Labor Day and was told that at our resort, All Star Music, there were 1,000 rooms checking out. Now that was just 1 resort. Those maids were going to be working triple duty that day.

All I can say if you go then, good luck and have patience. :)

We are staying off-site and we've got MGM scheduled to do on Sept. 6 (Tuesday AFTER Labor Day), but it's posted as an EMH for that morning there. Should we avoid MGM altogether on that day or since it's after the holiday, go on and take our chances?

Wow - no wonder no one was there when we went. Everyone had just checked out :rotfl2:

We are going to MGM that day for lunch at backlot express and dinner at prime time cafe. I would go for it. Especially since most people will be gone

We are some of the brave ones and are going the friday before and are catching a flight around 6 pm so that we can enjoy some time in WDW on Labor Day.. Hopefully it will be empty that day and we'll at least get some rides rode that day.. :flower: I've been before over spring break and it wasnt too bad, so hopefully Labor Day will not be much worse..

We always try to go the week after labor day(starting that Tues.) and we are going again this year. Our experience has been wonderful. When we went in 2003, we did not wait in line at all. They did not even have the fast pass machines open, because there was not enough crowds to open them up.

Katie - where are u guys staying? We will be at CR that week.

We went 3 years ago during that time and found that Labor day and Tuesday were more crowded than I expected, but then Wednesday on it really wasn't very crowded at all.
