I am planning ahead and thinking about possibly have a Labor Day get together with my family and friends. There would be about 20 people. I was thinking if it was going to be nice to go to our local park which has a swimming area with a beach. I would bring a canopy for those needing shade. Or we could just stay at my house. Any ideas for some themes or something to make it a fun? :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

I think the beach idea sounds great. A cookout would be fun too. If you are looking to keep the cost down, I have been to get togethers where each family brings their own meat to grill, plus one side dish to share.

Look at the Family Fun website - There are some fun water games and relay races that we did on July 4. The kids and adults both got really into it and it was easier to clean up than water balloons.

For a theme, just use the beach! Beach balls and kites for fun, sand pails or dump trucks can hold different food items. The kids could decorate visors or beach bags (look at Oriental Trading).
