It fluxes. The runners only make a minor dent in the crowd level - they are mostly there for the expo and activities and you get a lot of them as solo travellers.

This year's change in annual pass purchasing makes more of a dent. the fact that Labor Day is a bit later this year, means that more schools will already be in session.

I would get a room sooner rather than later, especially at the Good Neighbor hotels. Those fill up sooner with runners due to the lower prices.

Be aware that Disney holds a fair number of rooms at both the on-property and Good Neighbor hotels for runners, so you might find that inventory is already lower for the general public than you would normally expect.

Try a search on hotels.com for good rates on hotels across Harbor. I got a suite at the Ramada Maingate for $100/night Fri. & Sat. I would book soon though as the deals will become sparse as the weekend gets closer.

I spoke with the big boss earlier today. We won't have info until after the podcast cruise is over and they are able to focus on this event.
