Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any recommendations for TV show tapings?

Which shows, which studios, whether they're worth it, where to get tickets?

Note we will be in LA area 28Oct to 6 Nov

The links posted should give a schedule of when they are available. Also some of the daily type shows have their tickets on their network.

Just a reminder, most of these will take the whole day, included you having to show up early in the morning, standing in line to see if you can get in. Then you will sit in a studio for hours while they do retakes over.

It is a neat experience, but it can take most of your day. So find a show you like. Or find a genre you like so even if the show is new, you will at least have some fun.

Just came in here to post this and you beat me to it! :)

We are there about the same time, I'm going to try to get tickets for my wife and daughter to see either Jessie or Liv and Maddie through the tvtickets.com site. Their schedules only go out 30 days, so I have to wait until early October to start checking for shows. I'd love to hear a trip report from anyone who has actually done this, though.

EDIT: Found one review of Jessie.

We're hoping on the same shows.

Just don't know if I can justify possibly losing a whole day

Yes, the more I research this the more dicey it seems. You have to stand in line for over an hour and there's no guarantee you'll even get in. Some more reviews can be found on Yelp.

Well, the TVTickets site just updated and it looks like there's no Liv and Maddie taping on 11/4, so that's out. From what I've heard of the popularity of Jessie, I probably shouldn't even bother looking for an 11/7 show.

There's a section that lists future show dates before the tickets become available. It has dates through December.

Audience unlimited has tickets you book 30 days out. Most of the Disney shows are booked and change dates of taping or cancel all together a lot. I have been able to get tickets in front of Grumman's Chinese theatre for game shows or new developing shows. Again you have to get there hours in advance, may not get in, and may not sit with the people you come with. It is a fun experience.
