"Disney Animation is closing the book on fairy tales
'Tangled' will be the last such movie it makes for the foreseeable future. The studio is aiming for wider appeal. " Go to the LA Times for the complete article. :tink:

I can see that. I'll be sad to see them go, most of the time they did a good job. But I think they emptied the well when it comes to those stories. There are enough crative persons that they should be able to come up with some really good origianl stories.

From Disney's FB page.

"A headline in today’s LA Times erroneously reported that the Disney fairy tale is a thing of the past, but I feel it is important to set the record straight that they are alive and well at Disney and continue this week with Tangled, a contemporary retelling of a much loved story. We have a number of projects in development with new twists that audiences will be able to enjoy for many years to come. - Ed Catmull"

LOL< remember when Disney said they were done with Traditional Animation Too, then Princess and the Frog came out. Nothing will ever change, or be completley gone, because just when you think you dont need something, it becomes cool again.
